So, here's how this project came to be . . .
I left the house one morning on the way to work and there, on the power line going over my driveway, was an owl . . . staring at me. Owls, in my opinion, are some of the most interesting and regal of birds. But at 4:30 in the morning, they can also be pretty darn creepy. The whole way to the car, it just STARED at me. That day at work I kept thinking about the owl. I started looking up the mythologies that various ancient cultures held about owls. Many of them were what you would expect, wise and knowledge; but some were darker . . . much darker. This gave me the inspiration to create my own dark legend about owls, based off a combination of a few of these ancient myths.
I've been writing screenplays for about six years so a couple weeks later Seer of Souls was completed. Now I've been involved with the independent film community of central North Carolina for a few years. I've worked with a number of directors and teams as a producer, but I've made a point to do several different positions, including: sound, directing, camera operator, and of course writer. But Seer of Souls would be the first script that I will be the writer, producer and director on. I was able to call upon the contacts made on past projects to bring together an amazingly talented crew to support me on this project.
