The United Space School, coordinated by the Foundation for International Space Education (FISE), a courtesy of NASA, is a 2-week educational program that takes place every summer in Houston, bringing together up to 50 high school students from around the world to participate in various space-related activities, learn more about the space sciences and space exploration, go on field trips such as the Johnson Space Centre, and work together to complete the project: A Manned Mission to Mars! Areeba, from Toronto, has been selected as one of the Canadian representatives to attend the USS 2015. Ever since a young age she loved everything to do with space and she dreamt of one day working at NASA or the Canadian Space Agency. She has always wished to participate in a space-related program as such. For her, this is a dream come true!

The fee for the USS is $1000 USD, and the airfare to travel to Houston from Toronto (and back) is estimated to be around $1000-$1300 USD. There are other smaller travel expenses as well.
