For our shortfilm project "Seven Years of Winter" we need to raise 30.000 US$ for production costs. We plan to shoot in February 2011 in Chernobyl. We will need the money by the end of December to realize the project. We will be totally transparent about the spendings and we will provide all receipts and calculations at all time. Most of the crew will work for free.
The money will be spent on production and travel costs of the team and for the post-production. We strongly believe in this film and our story and we feel that it must be realized. If you would like to read the story, please drop me a message and I am happy to email you the script! We need your help! ,

Seven Years of Winter - A film by Marcus Schwenzel
Background:
On April the 26th of 1986 Chernobyl underwent a radical change after the worst nuclear catastrophe in human history. After thousands of deaths and hundreds of thousands of radioactively contaminated, long term injured people and animals, the Chernobyl of today has developed into a wicked, "Janus faced"- "natural reserve". Nevertheless it is a sanctuary for countless endangered animal species and diverse plant life. In the Zone no advertisement is trying to steal the attention, no billboards are trying to sell false dreams. At least not for another 373.300 years- the half life of plutonium 242 . But new destruction is augured as talks have started to convert the entire zone into a international nuclear waisteground.
