Hello:
I am a writer / director and a member of the Director's Guild of America. For 18 years, I have been a stand up comic. I started in the theater at the age of 5, in Washington DC, and performed in plays throughout college. Now, I'm living in Los Angeles, and attempting to make the transition into feature film directing, but it begins with this short: Trade!
Trade is also a film that has diversity in front of the camera and behind the scenes. It's an LBGTQ friendly production as well!
At this point, we need less than $10,000 to begin production. We have a shoot schedule from January 3-8th. I'm trying to remain optimistic that we can roll tape on that day, but me and my team need your help. I have a UPM, Kimberly Ogletree, who has produced multiple features and shorts. Several talented producers, an editor that worked on multiple Spike Lee projects and a Director of Photography that has worked with Oliver Stone. I would love to keep them on board by being able to pay them.
What you'll get is so much more than money. You'll know that you were integral in making this amazing story come to life, and we will break out brand new actors that you've never seen before. You'll be on the edge of your seat throughout this gripping film.
Also, you can attend the film festivals, which is where this will initially end up, on it's way to becoming a feature film.
I understand that some might now be able to contribute financially, but if you could please help get the word out, and help us make noise about this campaign, we'd appreciate it!
Thank you!
The Trade Team
