Shriekback's 15th Album... We hope you enjoy our new direction! A year ago, we released Why Anything? Why This?,  the 14th Shriekback album. We were very pleased with it, as it presented a fully-formed vision of where we – Barry, Martyn and Carl - were at, intended as a truly collaborative and focussed piece of work. We have been extremely gratified that our extended Shriekback family and a wide cross-section of reviewers agreed with us, welcoming the album as one of our best and setting a new benchmark for us to live up to.

And the time has come to live up to it, as we now begin the restless process that will, sure as sunrise, deliver our 15th studio baby. We want to make it something really special: building on the skills we’ve acquired individually as writers, performers and producers, of course, but especially, this time around, celebrating and showcasing the unique chemistry and organic musical relationship that has grown over the nearly 40 years that we’ve been playing together.

This means stepping back from our laptops and out of our home studios and shaking the walls together like we haven’t done since building Oil & Gold. It means time to write, routine and rehearse intensively together, it means live rooms and studios and microphones and sound engineers… in short, it means money, which is why we’re asking for your help with the one thing we’ve never asked for help with before: making the next record.

We’d love you to be on board for this. It’ll be intense and personal, and we’ve worked out rewards that we believe will keep you right there with us, note for note, word for word and day by day.
