I'm Johnny Macabre. I produce indie horror films. Films like Crepitus, the upcoming Dark Heart of Jason Voorhees documentary and Don't Fuck in the Woods 1 and 2. I love the circus, evil clowns and wicked ringmasters. I am super excited to be onboard for this amazing anthology!
Shriekshow is a horror anthology set on Halloween night that follows four friends as they break into a supposedly haunted abandoned amusement park for a night of partying. Once inside they stumble upon a sinister Ringmaster setting up a carnival and he regales them with four tales of terror.
In the first story, a group of friends on a weekend fishing trip encounter a bloodthirsty creature deep in the woods.
Next, a group of thugs burst into Erin and Camille's home looking for drug money, but nothing can prepare them for the horrifying nightmare that is about to be unleashed.
Then, two US marshals investigating a series of disappearances in a small rural town are terrorized by an evil Mennonite cult.
And finally, years after escaping the worst nightmare possible as a child, Cameron is getting ready to celebrate Halloween. But this October he's not alone. A murderous clown from his past has returned to get the one that got away.
Shriekshow is being directed by prolific indie horror director Brad Twigg (Killer Campout) with a script written by Todd Martin (Volumes of Blood), Douglas Snauffer (Witchouse II: Blood Coven), Gary Lee Vincent (My Uncle John is a Zombie!), Chris O'Brocki (Bounty), and Rick Jermain (Her Name Was Christa). Joining them as producers are Darren Ricci (The Sideling Hill) and Tim Fattig (Monkey Farm).
Brad Twigg (director/producer): "I've always been a big fan of anthologies and I think they're a lot of fun. With Shriekshow I want to create a unique and entertaining film that has a retro 80's feel and gives you nightmares after you watch it. Something that takes you back to your childhood when you would go to the video store on a weekend and rent a bunch of horror videos and stay up all night watching them. I want the viewer to experience a blissful sense of nostalgia as they watch the film, taking them back to a simpler time when horror was great. I'm really proud of the script and was fortunate to work with some extremely talented writers on this project. They all really outdid themselves. Shriekshow is going to be one wild ride full of psychos, creatures, clowns, gore and lots of scares. Don't forget to fasten your seat belts."
Chris O'Brocki (actor/writer): “What Shriekshow means to me is being able to tap into what scares you the most, what makes you want to turn on every light in the house, what leaves you with that taste of something not normal that lingers in your mind when you’re lying in bed at night. The story combines elements of not only the most feared holiday out of the year, but also is a mask of what you don’t see behind the thrill of a live show, that darkness and morbid sense of dread that hides behind the lights…”
