Our Story
We are filmmakers studying at San Diego State University and at Business Information and Technology School in Iselohn. We are currently fundraising for our undergraduate senior thesis and are ready to push the boundaries of low budget filmmaking with "Six Feet Deep" a thriller shot in Digital HD.
At SDSU we have learned to be meticulous and precise with our creative decisions, and we strive to perfect every single shot from the conception of the idea to the final export. "Six Feet Deep" is being treated with the very same set of values. In fact, we aim to take those values a step further by shooting only practical effects in camera, and enhancing some key moments further down the line using simple visual effects.

The Film
After his best friend (Danny) is brutally murdered and the case is closed as a drug crime, Vince decides to begin his own investigation discovering that Conelly, the main detective in the case, is associated with a known skinhead gang. Convinced that Conelly had something to do with Danny's death, Vince infiltrates the gang to find the man who pulled the trigger. He will soon realize that finding the truth won't be easy and to find justice he will have to break the law.
What We Need & What You Get
We've got a great script (that's been professionally workshopped), an amazing skeleton crew assembled, have had early negotiations with locations and rental houses, and lined up some amazing key cast members... You'd think we could make a movie now, but we're missing one key thing... the funds to make it happen! We have invested $2,500 dollars out of pocket but this amount only covers the indispensable (rental of camera, lenses, sound equipment and insurance fees).
The nature of our film requires a lot of production design which includes the perfect location, set dressing, wardrobe, make up and hair. For example, we need to recreate a crime scene in a street meaning we must block a street, rent a police car and an ambulance and pay an on-duty police officer for security. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts the San Diego Film Commission is no longer able to assist students with location permits forcing us to obtain permits as an independent company paying high prices for liability insurance plus the rent of the location -- all of this meaning an increase in our budget.
All of your donations will be going to our production design budget which usually makes or breaks a film. In turn, you will get the satisfaction of knowing that you have assisted up-and-coming filmmakers and have contributed to our future success.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can't donate money to the project, please help us get the word around! Share this on Facebook, twitter, with friends, family, co-workers, EVERYONE! We will forever be thankful for your cooperation.
