From the deliciously twisted mind of Mike Lindenmayer, Slice of the Pie is a darkly comedic heist short film that follows Buddy and Rico, two low-level employees at Sal's failing Pizzeria. Their crosstown rival, Paulie the Pizza King, has been sucking up most of the business in town for decades thanks to his famous secret sauce. And Sal has had enough.
So he sends Buddy and Rico to do his dirty work and steal Paulie's secret sauce recipe. Which sounds great, but let's be real... they're no experts. The two bumbling crooks have to avoid Paulie's shoddy security, outtalk suspicious cops, and pacify Buddy's tagalong kid sister when she shows up to "help" - all while finding and scooping the secret recipe. What could possibly go wrong?

Our campaign budget will go towards paying and feeding our accomplished and talented cast and crew, booking a pizzeria location to film in, buying/renting props and set decorations, and reserving state-of-the-art equipment to ensure Slice of the Pie looks as beautiful as a hot, handmade pizza fresh out of the oven. Making a movie isn't cheap or easy, but with your help, it is possible! Ultimately, your contributions will get this project made.
Once the film is complete, we aim to distribute Slice of the Pie to some of the biggest film festivals on the planet. If we are lucky enough to raise additional money over our goal, some of it will directly assist in the application fees for film festivals like Sundance, Slamdance, South by Southwest, New York, Atlanta and SO many more. We want to use your support to make audiences laugh across the globe, and provide a slice of this pie to as many loyal customers as possible.
