Overview
Indie Film Makers from Long Island need your assistance to make short horror movie about Sleep Paralysis- a real life, frightening phenomenon in which people wake up unable to move. Funds needed for equipment, locations and talent. This production is an amazing outlet for many artists- help us help them live their dreams!

About Us

Hello- We are Michael and Patrick from Echo Light Productions operating out of Long Island New York. We are Independent Film Makers that love telling stories, working with new, amazingly talented people, inspiring others and putting out quality productions that entertain, touch and yes, scare people.

Patrick: "in addition to being a brilliant editor and director of photography,  my brother in the arts Michael is an accomplished songwriter, singer and a gifted music teacher.  He is one of the most talented people I have ever met and his students are lucky to have such a fine, engaging, and effective instructor."

Michael: "In addition to being a visionary director and an exceptional writer, my partner and best pal Patrick is a happy husband,  the father of four great kids and is an administrator at a large non profit organization that provides services to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Next to creating, his greatest passion is helping others."

Our Campaign

We need to raise $6,000 to assist us in making our next film- Slumber Still: Dawn of Shadows. It's the third and final chapter in our horror movie Slumber Still series. The film is about a mild mannered psychologist caught in a web of delusions, demons, darkness and madness when he tries to help a patient suffering from the terrifying phenomenon known as Sleep Paralysis. The situation quickly turns grave when the psychologist and his family find themselves fighting for their own lives.

The funds are needed for equipment purchases and/or rentals (cameras, monitors, etc.), to secure filming locations,  but mostly to compensate the actors and crew for out of pocket expenses (travelling, clothing, food, etc.) and a small stipend for lending their time and talents to this project.  Artists are an essential part of our communities. They shouldn't have to starve to make us and the world better, more beautiful and to offer all of us an escape from daily struggles and hardships. In addition,  monies are needed because this is a period piece (it takes place in the 1980s) so special props, costume pieces, and furniture need to be acquired or built as well.

Our Track Record

Though our company is relatively new (we became a formal LLC in 2016), we each bring specific, specialized skills, a tremendous amount of film/production experience and an infectious enthusiasm and passion to any project we take on.  We have had success with the earlier installments of the film series. SLUMBER STILL got accepted into several film festivals and won the 'Audience Choice' Award at the prestigious Something Wicked Film Festival in 2017 (please click on link to see the film in it's entirety https://youtu.be/eStamC727dg).  SLUMBER STILL: OUT OF LIGHT had a sold out world premiere on Long Island in October of 2018 and a second screening had to be scheduled. In addition, the film was just nominated for 'Best Atmosphere' and 'Best Original Concept' by the 2018 Independent Horror Movie Awards (please click on link to see the holiday edition trailer of the film https://youtu.be/j3al67ZTZ4A).

We are dependable professionals that also happen to be nice guys.

Why This Is Important

This series is a planned trilogy. With each installment, we up the anti and strive to make it bigger an better than the previous film.  We get more creative and bolder with each endeavor. This, our final chapter, needs to be stellar to live up to the success of the other films and so as not to disappoint our many Slumber fans (not to mention our own expectations for our newest 'baby'). We love to work with undiscovered and new local talent and give them a platform to shine. Truth be told, if we do not make this bare minimum budget, we won't be able to make this movie.  The story will be unfinished and we will be disappointing many artists and people. This is our strongest script, largest cast, and most extravagant production to date- we need all the pieces to maintain the integrity of the project and stay true to the vision- and we need help with funds to do that.
