Unlike many other fold-up commuter bikes Smacircle’s unique, modern design is neat and compact. It takes up minimal space and its unisex design means it suits everyone.

Small Enough to Fit Into Your Backpack

Ebikes can be heavy, bulky and take up valuable space. Smacircle invented the S1 to combat this. At only 19 inches lengthways and able to fold up in five simple steps it can fit easily into a standard sized backpack. Alternatively, you can carry it easily by holding onto the saddle.

Sensitive Electronic Brakes

Compared to regular brakes which stop the vehicle through friction, Smacircle S1 has embedded electronic brakes which a more sensitive allowing you to stop faster and more safely. Simply press on the brake button on the handlebars and the motor will stop.

Ideal for town and inner city travel the S1’s high quality Samsung battery will ensure an distance of 12 miles before recharging. Simply plug into the wall and charge for 2.5-3 hours and you can get back on the saddle.

The Samsung lithium battery, its high capacity , compact design and long life, make it perfect for Smacircle S1. It is suitable in conditions from -4 °F to 122°F. Its charge cycle is 600 times. The special design of the seat keeps the battery protected from overheating even while sitting on the battery.

The battery is completely safe as long as you use it within the guidelines of the included instruction manual.

Our structural engineers encountered and solved a series of challenges while designing and constructing the S1. Developing the unique folding method or finding the perfect material combination that would let them reduce the total weight of the bike while making sure it can physically support up to 220lbs/ 100 kg of total rider and cargo/luggage weight was a tough process, but we made it.

Is Smacircle S1 Street legal globally? 

Smacircle S1 is 100% street legal. S1 is made under 20mph and its motor is 240 W, which abides to the threshold for street legality. In addition, we are getting through a process to pass CE, FCC, UC certificates and Type Approval (ECWVTA, European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval). For specific requirements, please check your local rules.

I can't see the battery - where is it?

It is hidden inside the seat, protected by a locking mechanism.

Will you have APP for both iOS and Android?

How do I take care of the bike?

Maintenance is carried out as on a regular bicycle and any professional bike shop will be able to maintain the Smacircle S1.

Bikes are safely packed in a box and do not require assembling.

Yes. All Smacircle bikes are covered for 1 year. However, the normal wear of tires, brake pads, and bearings is an inevitable part of cycling are not covered.
