Short Summary

Hey, I'm Liam. Like lots of teenagers, I struggled at school, was quite disruptive to my teachers and dropped out before completing year 12.

But soccer (or football as it really should be called!) has been my life's passion and it's something I'm really good at.

Last year, I was lucky enough to visit my grandparents in the UK and whilst I was there met with the head coach at Morcambe Football club. They've got an awesome youth academy and I couldn't believe it when they offered me a spot there on a two season deal!

This is the break I need to start a career.

Australia has been good to me and I have represented SA and Australia in my sport on many occasions. I also spent some time at the AIS which was a brilliant opportunity.

I'm determined to make it in the game and would love to play in the English Premier League, although playing in the A-League would still be a dream come true!

What I Need

The cost of being at the academy is being taken care of through my scholarship but my parents are having to fund my return flights, living expenses and spending money but I need to come up with the cash for the first flight over - $800.

For that, I will get to the UK and can start at the academy.

The Impact

Although what I am looking to do won't save lives or feed the world, it will create a huge opportunity for me to carve out a career in something I know I'm good at. Any help I get will be much appreciated. I'd love the opportunity to become successful and one day give back in many different ways.
