Solano Rep is back to create high quality theatre.
It has been nearly a year since Solano Rep has put on a show. In that time we've regrouped and we want to produce plays people actually want to see, keeping theatre in Solano County alive. Up next, we will produce One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, directed by Carla Spindt.
But making theatre magic isn't cheap, and to be perfectly honest, Solano Rep could use some help.
There are a lot of costs producing theatre,
So, what can you do, you may be asking? Well, any of your contributions would go towards the following:
What can you do?
Well, any of your contributions would go towards the following:
-Renting a theatre to put the play on. Solano Rep doesn't currently have a "home theatre". So until that time we have a space to call our own, we need to rent the space from someone else.
-Rights to the show. Samuel French owns the rights to the show and doesn't take kindly to theatre companies putting on their shows without a licensing fee.
-Then there's all the little stuff… designing a set, building a set, costumes, designer fees, props, music, lights,,. it all adds up.
But hey, we're not going to ask for your money and not give anything back. You work hard for your money and we do appreciate your help, so we've thrown in some perks for your contributions.
- For every $5 donation, you'll receive a personal thank you from a Solano Rep board member on the Solano Rep Facebook page.
- For every $25 donation, you'll receive the above AND two tickets to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, to be seen at the Missouri St Theatre in Fairfield, CA.
- For a $50 donation, receive all the above AND be named one of Solano Reps Patrons, both on the website and in all show programs for a year.
- For $100 donation, receive all the above AND an autographed Cuckoo's Nest poster.
- For $500 donations, receive all the above AND member(s) of the cast and/or SRTC board will wash and wax your car (within a reasonable distance of say, 30 miles)
- For $1000 donations, receive all the above AND dinner for two at Main Street Bar and Grill in downtown Suisun.
On top of all that, for every $1000 raised, our President, Curt Thompson, will publicly embarass himself and record it for the internet to see. For the first $1000 he will wear his best Sunday dress by the Suisun waterfront and sing "I Feel Pretty," at least until the police show up.
