What is Solarella?
Solarella is a solar-powered garden or beach umbrella equipped with solar modules and rechargeable battery so that you can charge your phone, tablet, or camera all while relaxing, undisturbed in the sun! Solarella allows you to enjoy your smartphone or tablet in a space with no electrical plugs, without the fear of draining the battery. When it is cloudy or dark out, you can still enjoy the benefits of solar power thanks to the high capacity battery pack inside the Solarella.

Solarella is a product that started with one very simple question: “Why does my phone battery always die when I’m enjoying the beach and there is no plug nearby?” It was developed with three key tenets in mind: functional design, ease of use and freedom for the user.

We have built a prototype and are starting to build the first
functional samples of the Solarella that
will soon be ready for testing and production. Though we have big ambitions, we are a small
team with the capacity to finance only modest production runs. Placing an order of multiple thousands of

When will I receive my Solarella?
We are doing our utmost to have the Solarella shipping in time for summer 2015. We will provide continuous updates about the production schedule during and after the campaign. The projected timelines mentioned for each perk will be firmed up over the coming weeks.
Where do you ship to?
We use major courier companies and we will ship to anywhere that they deliver.
Is shipping included?
Shipping is $39 for Europe, $79 worldwide (Purchasers are responsible for any VAT or customs duties levied by their own countries).
Is there a warranty for the Solarella?
Yes, the Solarella comes with a one-year replacement warranty.

Does Solarella come in any other colours?
Solarella is currently only offered in white. We have plans to introduce additional colours in future production runs. If this campaign greatly exceeds our expectations, we will introduce ‘stretch goals’ that will include additional colours for all backers to choose from.
