THIS IS MY GOAL, AND ITS GOING TO START WITH THIS FILM AND MOVE ON TO ANOTHER FILM ABOUT ANOTHER TOPIC THAT NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED AND STOPPED. I'M IN THIS TO MAKE FILMS THAT HELP MOVE OUR SOCIETY IN THE DIRECTION OF SERVING OTHERS SO THAT THEY TOO CAN BE HAPPY.
Storyline
1991, the government of Somalia - in the Horn of Africa - collapsed. Its nine million people have been teetering on starvation ever since - and many of the ugliest forces in the Western world have seen this as a great opportunity to steal the country's food supply and dump nuclear waste in their seas. This film is about a local Somali child who takes us through his life experiences in Somalia from 1991 to 2011. The devastation these foreign countries have caused this once prosperous country is something the world must see. His story brings you the truth about what has happened over the last 20 years in Somalia and why it has caused starvation, radiation sickness, civil unrest and corruption. Somalia is seen now as nothing more than a wasteland, and thousands of local men have no choice but to turn to Piracy as the way of life. Although the film is based on a fictional storyline, the events are true.
What We Need & What You Get
- Making a feature film takes a lot of money and resources. We hope that you can contribute even just $1 so that we can raise the funds to make this screenplay into a major motion picture. The screenplay is complete and it has already taken 3rd place honors at a film festival. The goal now is to make the screenplay into a film and expose the truth to the world about what has happened to the people of Somalia. Although this film is not exactly a documentary, it is based on true events. Consider this project similar to Hotel Rwanda or The Wolf of Wallstreet or The Constant Gardner. The purpose of this film is not to necessarily place blame on anyone for what has happened in Somalia, but to make each and everyone of us aware of why this country is in the state it is in. So many times in history, we are only shown one side of the story. This film will show you the side nobody wants you to know about and why local men turn to piracy to survive. We hope that we can all be made aware of the situation and find ways to help put an end to it. We hope you can be a part of this journey and start exposing the truth!

We will also use the money to submit the screenplay to more film festivals and screenwriting competitions so we can get it out into the public. Every cent raised will be put towards making this film. This film will allow everyone across the world to become aware of what is happening not only in Somalia, but also in many other countries. Somalia is just one example and by you contributing to this project, it will allow for the possibility of change to happen for the better. Risks & Challanges
I have been involved in the film industry for roughly 7 years. I am part of SAG-AFTRA and have taken part in numerous television series, movies and commercials as an actor. So I do recognize that I will have challenges but I have been lucky enough to establish friendships in the industry that will allow me to pursue this project and contact the appropriate individuals to make this film a reality. I have developed relationships with both producers and directors and I can promise you that I will not stop fighting for this project until it is made. I will do whatever it takes to make sure that happens. So my ultimate goal is to raise enough funds so that I can bring this screenplay to the appropriate production companies and pitch them the idea for this film, as well as submit this project to screenwriting festivals.
