Son of Perdition...
"A terminally ill man makes a deal for eternal life. In order to seal the fiendish pact he must in turn take the life of another."
That's our film in a nutshell... It's a thriller inspired by The Twilight Zone and Twin Peaks. It's a story that'll keep you up at night, with a darkly comic edge.
We have a fantastic crew on board and with your help we know we can make this project a reality.
Written and directed by Matthew Harrison, produced by Alejandro Carapuig, with a wonderful Director of Photography; James Betts, to be edited by Thomas Evans, with Sound Design by Rachael Sutton.
Our recent short film After The Fray has had great success at film festivals around the world, picking up Best Short Film at the LA Art House Film Festival in California. We successfully funded After The Fray through crowd sourcing, and it was such a positive experience that we've returned for round two!
We're in the process of casting Son of Perdition as we speak and we have a fabulous casting director onboard, Ben Cogan. With 15 years experience working at the BBC, Ben cast After the Fray and helped us secure the wonderful Brian McCardie (Filth, Speed 2: Cruise Control, The Damned United), so have no doubt that the line-up for Son of Perdition will be nothing short of stellar!
Shooting starts in January 2016, so it's time to get moving...
What We Need & What You Get
We need your help to take this film from script to screen.
We estimate Son of Perdition will cost around £2,500 to make, exactly how we want it. This will help fund cast and crew expenses, location fees, props, costume, travel & accommodation, food, festival fees and so much more...
There are lots of fantastic perks on offer for helping us fund this film, so check them out and please consider pledging to our IndieGoGo campaign.
Your contribution really will make a difference - this is not just about you giving us money, this is about you being a part of the creative process, bringing a film to life - you will be with us every step of the way...
Risks & Challenges
The budget is extremely strict, it's incredibly important we reach our goal of £2,500 - it would be hard for us to make the film we want on any less as Son of Perdition is set in 1950s America, but we'll be shooting in England - this will be extremely difficult, but not impossible. We'll need to be sure our props, locations and costumes are accurate and authentic to the time period. We believe whole heartedly in this project. The story is gripping from start to finish, it will shock you and sicken you all at once, help it come to life!
Other WaysYou Can Help
If you can't contribute money, we totally understand - but you can contribute your time... what would really help is having people help us spread the word about our IndieGoGo campaign as well as our social media links. Tell a friend/family member or next door neighbour. Word of mouth is the greatest tool of all!
Thanks for reading and helping us make this project a reality.
