Who We Are
"I want to tell this story because I feel it is both culturally relevant and entertaining. Feminism is about equality, something I firmly believe in. However, now, feminism is seen as an extreme, and this film is meant to satire that concept. Charlotte is playing the role of the stereotypical, man hating, feminist, an archetype that society seems to fear, as ridiculous as that sounds. I want people to understand that feminism is a good thing."

Charlotte
is struggling to balance keeping her truck stop diner in business, and dealing
with the misogynistic customers it attracts. She soon discovers a delicious way to solve both problems. But the solution begs the question: how far will
she go to fight against oppression?
Sorry,
We’re Closed is written and directed by Alexis Makepeace, and produced by Brad
Chernyk, both students at Vancouver Film School.
They
are very excited about the project as it speaks to the everyday sexism woman
are faced with, while remaining both compelling, and delightfully disgusting.
"Sorry, We're Closed" will be a horror short film, coming soon. Like our Facebook Page to see production updates!
