Synopsis
Sour Milk is a short film that explores the relationship of a mother and her son after she unexpectedly gets the opportunity to reconnect with her son that has been missing for a decade.
Themes
Sour Milk is a story about motherhood and forgiveness as much as it is about trauma, healing and loneliness. We want to explore those themes through the process of our characters trying to rebuild a relationship that has been dying for over a decade.
The story takes place in a small village in Estonia where time has stood still for years. A place that is haunted by the ghosts of the past. The place represents our protagonist's mental state, a rotting house that feeds on loneliness, with little hope it will and can be rebuilt.
Why you should consider supporting us?
Sour Milk is a project that we have been working on for the last 7 months now. This is a project that is very close to all our hearts as it deals with a very personal and emotional story.
We are offering different options for supporting us and we hope that this story and the teaser shown above resonate with you and you consider helping us.
If you cannot donate directly to the campaign, sharing it through social media would also help us a lot as it would help get the word around.
