That's why we have created the SprayPrinter
SprayPrinter is a device that delivers designs and images from your smartphone to any wall.
It's like with good live music - every time someone interprets a tune, their way of playing gives the piece a unique and never before experienced touch.
On your Smartphone you have to have the SprayPrinter application that is included in the price. From there you choose the design you like or upload your own and load it to the printer via Bluetooth. Once that is done you are ready to set up your phone on a stable platform or a tripod facing the camera toward the wall you want to decorate. You can adjust the size and the position of the design by moving the phone closer or further from the wall. You can see how the design will look on you wall through your phone’s screen. Now you are ready to print.
While you are printing the design on the wall, your phone tracks every movement of the printer and knows its exact position all the time. We’ve achieved that by combining several sensors on the printer plus the computing powers of the Smartphone. The printer has an LED light that is tracked by the Smartphone’s camera. This gives us a rough position of the printer. But to really pinpoint the position we’ve added an accelerometer and a gyroscope to the printer. So by combining data from the sensors with phone’s data about the position of the LED we get the accurate position of the printer in real time. Once we know where the printer is it is simple to decide for the program weather to release the pixel or not.
The other big part of the printer is the mechanics. Our core innovation is fast acting electromagnetic valve that can open and close up to 200 times per second. This means you can print up to 200 pixels per second giving you the freedom to move your hand freely just as you would with the regular paintbrush.
SprayPrinter works best with MTN94 water based colours that are suitable for both in- and outdoor use. You can get those colours from all around the world.
