Born from a desire to reduce the impact of single-use bottles, the memobottle is designed to ensure you never leave your bottle behind again.


Its compact nature allows it to fit where other bottles can’t - like handbags, back pockets and cross-body bags. It even fits in aeroplane seat pockets!

You’ll be hydrated anywhere and everywhere you go. That's one less excuse to not carry a bottle, and one more reason to stay hydrated.

Formed from premium food-grade 304 stainless steel, the new Stainless Steel memobottle is stain-resistant and robust. Its luxurious satin powder-coat is both delicate to the touch and scratch-resistant. 

Gentle curves, laser-etched detailing and a polished mouthpiece perfectly complement the bottle’s durable design.

At memobottle we are obsessed with the finer details. We geek out on product design on a daily basis, we are driven by design and innovation and are very conscious of the impact that production processes can have on our environment.

With the Stainless Steel memobottle, we wanted to take the essence of the original memobottle, and distill it into an even clearer silhouette. The bottle’s sense of balance and refinement is the result of many, many iterations, both digital and physical.

It follows much trial and error and constant rejection by suppliers who didn’t believe it was feasible or possible to create such a bottle.

We are thankful that we endeavoured, and have reached an outcome that we are all so proud of.

And so it comes with immense joy - and relief - that we are able to finally release this object to the world.

Development and production

For the past two years, we have been working on the design and development of the Stainless Steel memobottle, and have been through many revisions of pre-production tooling and testing. Tooling is underway on all four bottles, and many off-tool samples have been reviewed and tested. Once finalised, we will move into full-scale mass production.

About us - Born on Kickstarter

We are committed to inspiring a more reusable society through the design of considered, convenient, everyday products.

memobottle was founded in 2014 by childhood best mates Jesse Leeworthy, and Jonathan Byrt.  The idea came about due to two frustrations that they experienced; the impact of single-use water bottles, and the inability to fit round bottles in their bags. It turned out that these frustrations were shared by people all over the world.

This is now our 3rd Kickstarter campaign.  Since our first Kickstarter, which helped us launch in 2014, we have built an amazing community of backers and followers that have shared this journey with us. Without you guys - our incredible Kickstarter community - memobottle would not be here today. And it is once again because of you that we are able to continue to innovate and do what we love.

We are a team of 10 passionate individuals based in Melbourne, Australia – driven by design, innovation and a strong desire to improve the state of our environment. This new project is the result of continuous feedback and hard work over the past few years.

memobottle is proudly a certified B-Corporation, with social and environmental consideration at the forefront of everything that we do. We measure our success via two key metrics - a dual impact model as we like to call it.

To date, we estimate that we have diverted over 100 million single-use water bottles from ending up in landfill.  And through our partnership with water.org, we have provided over 11 million days of clean water to those in need.

We might be 7 seven years into this journey but we are only just getting started.

Environmental commitments

Long-lasting design

We've made a commitment that everything we do and build needs to add value and help our community live better lives. If they don’t, we should rethink why we’re doing it, and work out a better approach. Our products are designed with the best materials and built to last – tested thoroughly to withstand heavy use. We love that we're still seeing plenty of backers from our first Kickstarter campaign in 2014 still using the rewards they received then.

Reusability and recyclability

Our products are designed to last. When they reach the end of their life, then they are all fully recyclable. Our materials are BPA/BPS free.

Sustainable materials

Our new Stainless Steel memobottles are made from premium food-grade 304 Stainless steel. All considerations have been made to ensure that our bottles can be used for many years into the future, in order for them to be a viable and sustainable alternative to single-use bottles

Environmentally friendly factories

All our factories have been carefully selected and are partners we've been working with for several years. We have team members who visit the factories on a regular basis to ensure that quality, ethical and environmental standards are upheld.

Sustainable Distribution

We plan to optimise our shipping routes by utilising sea freight to transport bulk quantities to local warehouses to reduce our carbon footprint.
