What's this all about?
Starship Moonhawk is about to blast off in a whole new way, and you, the dedicated fans of both my series and the actors we've chosen to play your favorite parts, will finally be able to help us get to the next level. That level is:
THE DRAMATIC AUDIOBOOK! Specifically, a roughly 40-50 minute full-throttle audio experience from the episode "The Death of Perseus".
In order to pull this off, we need your help! We have script editors, producers, a director, actors and artists to consider, and this is where you come in. We want to create a "movie in your mind" experience, and your pledge will help us toward that goal.
What Will I Get?
You will receive an unparalleled entertainment experience in the form of the best dramatic audiobook we are able to produce. Not only will it have voice acting, but it will have sounds and an original musical score from Jared Cowing and Keith W's band. We also have some fantastic rewards for going above and beyond in this endeavor. Rewards such as a rare look into the early days of the webcomic as well as parts of the soundtrack I commissioned that have yet to be used. Or, perhaps you'd rather mingle with the cast and crew of my podcast, Up Late with Mace. The opportunities are all there.
The Impact
You personally will get to come away with a piece of entertainment history. We're not the first audiobook of this kind, but we want this one to be the one you remember first. We want to be the one you talk about when the subject comes up at your book club or around the water cooler. But we can only get there with the help of your contributions.
Risks & Challenges
The risks and challenges are many, but we want this to be a positive experience for all. Plus, we want to be able to bring our players back to do the next volume and the next after that. In order to make that happen, we must be successful with this, our first outing. I've never undertaken a project of this scope before, so I am sailing into uncharted waters. The good news is that I have an experienced team of professionals led by my producer/director Keith W., and I feel that under their guidance, we will be able to bring you a truly unforgettable story experience.
