HI, I’m Steven Ybarra,

I am a Country Pop artist living in San Diego and I am ready to produce some brand new songs that I recently wrote. They are ready to be recorded in Nashville! These country songs infused with pop undertones are the culmination of many experiences and insights. Each of them carries a very special meaning and message to me. There are songs about bridging distances, and relationships, songs about great memories of really good summers growing up in Houston, songs about what dreams dream about, and songs about a never-ending love that stays. A bit of background on me:

On my journey of creating and performing music for many years and touring nationally, I’ve been a featured artist for Eric Church, Darius Rucker, Shania Twain, Gavin DeGraw, Carrie Underwood, and many others. I won the Durango Songwriter’s Expo in the Country category and my most recent CD, What I Really Want to Say, reached the top 75 on the Country iTunes chart on release day. The song ‘Stand’ from that CD made it into the Top 10 Chart for Best Country Radio. What I Really Want to Say was considered for 2 Grammy’s in the Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Album categories. It is because of the loyalty and ongoing support of my fans and friends that I was able to hit those milestones, and keep my career moving forward. I am also grateful to have fantastic sponsors, including Taylor Guitar, Dunlop, Levy’s Leathers, and Elixir Strings.

The goal is to raise $30,000. All funds received will go toward recording in Nashville, mixing, mastering, duplication, packaging, and distribution. I am really enthusiastic about this campaign, and fully believe that we can push past the initial goal, and take it all the way to the National Tour level and beyond! After the stretch goals are reached, the new songs will go out to every major country radio station in the world, a national tour will be booked, and a new music video will be created. 

As a collaborator on this album, you should know how your investment is being used. I have written all of the songs, and am ready for the next step in the process of creating a new CD.
