Who am I?
I’m a graduate student at Columbia College Chicago making the most adorable little film you've ever seen in your whole life. It's my thesis,and let me tell you I've never worked so hard on anything in my whole LIFE! Producing this film has been a treat. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be able to make a movie that kiddos and grown folk can both appreciate and enjoy ! I'm enjoying making it as much as you (hopefully) will enjoy watching it !!!!!!!!!!!
GAME PLAN...
This film will be
made over a 24-week period with a SUPER small and multi-talented animation crew. The project has been “ green lit”, and we are moving into the first
stages of production, ie. Drawing figures, modeling our characters and making
the world of the story come to life!
This process is labor intensive and requires technical and artisanal
skills that take years to cultivate. By
contributing to our project you are guaranteeing that artists are being valued
for their talents, workspaces can be rented, equipment can be insured, and
students and sprouting animators can make beautiful materials and not starve
along the way. You are donating to the momentum behind our project and allowing
us the resources in technology, art, and talent to make something that without
a doubt will be a pleasure to watch with your families on the silver screen!
What We Need & What You Get
We need $2,500 to reach our goal!
- 60% of this money is going to my crew, to pay them for being creative bosses.
- 30% of this money will get this friendly flick submitted to festivals all over the world!
- 10% of this money is going in the bank as a safe-guard incase a computer breaks or a hard drive crashes and I have to bribe Geek Squad to burst it back to life.
No MATTER WHAT, if you support us financially you will get a credit in the film. That's just how we do things. Indie filmmaking is hard and sharing the love and credit is essential in our success as a creative community. You can also get super dope perks depending on how much you give…
THE STORY:
“ STEVIE “ is the animated tale of a homely little alarm
clock who gets stashed in a junk closet. She goes through life on the nightstand of a little girl who doesn't stay little forever. The little girl grows up, and years of snoozing and getting knocked over render little Stevie useless. She get's tossed aside and put with the other things in the junk closet that children so commonly outgrow. Stevie is alone for the first time in her life, and feels purposeless.
After going on a mission to fix her banged up exterior and alarm BUZZZ! Stevie realizes that no one is coming to get her, she's going to be alone in this closet, in the dark, for the first time EVER! Don't you worry— she might feel hopeless, but Stevie finds a little light in the darkest place! Hope is shared through the most unsuspecting shelved friends!

warm, lifted, and a little brighter about life!
