The Film:
The short film is shot on super 16mm in Bend, Oregon. As civilization progresses, new technology often rapidly replaces the old, just as the traditional film as a medium is increasingly being replaced by the digital cinema. It is in this spirit that we have chosen to use actual film as the medium for this project. We have finished shooting and are now in post-production. We want the film to reach out to the audience, with the hope to raise one's awareness and excite reflections on how changes can have long-term and unexpected consequences. While all new advancements rest on previous achievements, they are also often disruptive to and entail significant sacrifices of the old. The old, however, will always fight to keep its place.

Kevin Huang grew up in Taiwan. Exposed to art at a young age, he has long been passionate toward the subject and has dabbled in a variety of art media. He was trained in industrial design but quickly changed his focus to film once he realized the influences that film has on its audiences and the affects it has to the public, believing that film is the best medium for him to reach peoples' hearts across the world with his vision and messages. At University of Kansas he learned about film theories but itched at the chance for production. After working as a cinematographer for couple years, working on projects ranging from music video, commercials, to narrative shorts, he decided to pursue his original goal when entering the business--directing. Now living in Los Angeles, he continues to work on his upcoming projects: currently, two period short film scripts and two feature films scripts (one is planned for production in Taiwan), and hopes to have them in production soon.

Help us finish the story!
Still Moon is now in the post-production phase and we need your help!
The film is ready for it's final touches:
- We are aiming to go back to the film for color correction, which will keep the film's colors vibrant and the aesthetic of film intact
- We are doing extensive sound design to enhance the environment and the experience.
- We are using computer graphics to bring some of the shots back to the 1800s--we have to remove certain objects and structures that would not have existed during the time period.
- To finish, we would love to present the film in its best quality, so we are aiming to finish the film in Digital Cinema Package (DCP) as well as 35mm print if possible.
Your contributions make a difference!
please help us, geeks, making this dream come true!
for contributions $200 or more you will receive the production team's photography print(s) of your choice! Please let us know which image code at http://www.stillmoonthefilm.com/indiegogo-print...
Our goals;
13,000 - The film is done!
-- if we reach our goal and more! --
16,000 - We will be able to strike prints on 35mm to present at screenings and film festivals (which is very special since Digital Cinema is slowly overtaking the majority of exhibitions, it would be a great experience for everyone to see the film on actual film). Posters for contribution $10 or more. We will also be able to submit to more film festivals and bring the film closer to you.
18,000 - Posters for contributions $10 or more. We will be able to give to contributor who contributes $100 or more a piece of 35mm cells from the film as a token of appreciation.
We want to sincerely thank all contributors for your kind support. Your endorsement and contribution push us to work harder and give us the opportunity to bring more films to you in the near future!
Can't donate? No problem, please help us by spreading the word!
We understand that not everybody can donate. But please use the share tool and spread the word to others who may be able to.
