Short Summary
"I have always been fascinated by the idea of the double. People who are seemingly different with their lives pulling in the same direction. They are a mirror of each other. This was the basis of Stop Six.
People often grow up in an incubator. Their lives are determined by what lies in front of them. Until you age, entering college or maybe after, that you realize the world is larger than your own surroundings. This year especially, many individuals continue to only be aware of their enviroment.
Stop Six is an attempt to curb that perception.
The film finds two different people, from completely different worlds, interacting and connecting. They meet by chance and share an afternoon together. As they road-trip from stop to stop, they become aware of their likeness. By the end of the film, our characters are given an opportunity to solidify their friendship. Once reaching their destination, a tragic turn of events occur, leaving them with only the memory of each other.
Meet the Team
"Stop Six was was conceived with the help of various individuals. For the last few years, I have surrounded myself with people who share the same enthusiasm and dedication to filmmaking as I do. I can proudly say, the film collective that I live/work in is extremely important to the ways I approach and interpret cinema."

How you can help
Your support for this project will help us start production on Stop Six. The $1,500 donated will cover the following:
Equipment: This is essential for crafting our short film. Money donated will help us rent camera, sound, and lighting equipment in order to craft Stop Six. We are striving to create an intimate relationship between our characters and the audience. This sense of realism requires flexibility in the camera and lighting departments. We want Stop Six to feel visceral.
Production Design: We want the world of Stop Six to feel authentic. We want it to feel lived-in. This can only be realized through production design. Money donated will allow us to create a tangible world that you can step into.
Wardrobe: Clothing and characters are intertwined. A character's appearance can give visual information to their personality and background. As filmmakers, we feel that the wardrobe for our characters is incredibly important.
Food: Shooting a short film is rewarding but also exhausting. Money donated will help keep us energized on set so we can make the best film possible!
Festival Submission Fees: We want to get the film to as many festivals as possible so everyone can view and enjoy it! Submitting to multiple festivals can prove to be expensive. Help us spread Stop Six around the world.
The Impact
Stop Six explores the abuse of innocence, making and breaking connections, and being boxed in by circumstance. I'm hopeful the film will leave more questions than answers. There should be a dialogue between the film and viewer. Everyone involved with Stop Six is working toward that goal.
I know we can achieve that level of impact but it first begins at the grassroots level. Support for Stop Six will give us all of the necessary tools to realize this story.
Risks & Challenges
Filmmaking is challenging. An extreme amount of time goes into planning and bringing together the appropriate funding for a production. Contributing will help alleviate some of that pressure!
We are planning on shooting in early January against cold and overcast sky to create a somber tone. Throughout the production, we will relocate to a few different locations and finally the end destination. This requires planning on our part which is well underway. Contributing will allow us the equipment, wardrobe, props, and food to make this a great production.
We need every bit of help possible!
