We've reached our goal! Thank you to everyone who donated and was a part of this project! Because you believed in us, our project is now in the in-demand phase of funding! This means although our initial campaign has ended, the page will remain open and you can still donate to help us make our film even better. While the base needs of our film have already been met there's still a lot that our team can bring you. We have a long list of plans for any money raised passed our initial $2,000 goal. The first order of business is an original musical score, better VFX, and a few more surprises we'll announce as you continue to share and donate!
Welcome Back to Raven Heights
A year ago Kickphase Studios created a short film called Kicks for a mere budget of $100, The film received great feedback and we were honored to win the People's Choice award at Regent University's Annual Film Showcase. Now, Kickphase is back, and ready to bring a bigger and better story! Streetlights, a spiritual successor to Kicks is our second film in the Raven Heights Trilogy featuring some new leads as well as some familiar faces! Help us make this film a reality!
Raven Heights Rule #1: Never leave the house without a fresh pair of Kicks.

What We Need & What You Get
We're asking for $2,000 to make this project!
We've put together a really talented team that have volunteered time, locations, and equipment. We've set down and put together a small budget with only the necessities to get this project completed!
Budget Breakdown (updated):
Food: $200
Feeding our cast and crew.
Wardrobe: $100
We have an array of characters who all need to look their best!
Production Design/Props: $100
Props, and pd that we may not be able to get our hands on.
Art: $300
We've acquired some really talented artist to design logos, posters, and t shirts for you guys!
VFX/Post: $350
We have an awesome post-production team we're paying for their hard-work!
Music: $180
This would cover any music licensing, but keep the big bucks coming, and we may get original music!
Lodging: $170
A few of our young actors and their families are coming in from out of town. Help us get them a place to stay during filming.
Equipment: $350
Minor equipment rentals still needed.
Misc.: $250
Anything that's not listed here that may need to be covered; extra purchases, any Indiegogo fees, etc.

Cast
Streetlights is the 2nd film in our Raven Heights trilogy however, it is a stand-alone adventure and introduces 4 new characters. Meet our talented new cast!
Franklin - Elnathan Ayanam
Elnathan is 12 years old and a first timer to the big screen but takes theater classes and loves acting. He has many talents from acting, modeling, piano, drums, dancing, and rapping.
Nigel - Jeremiah Jones
Jeremiah is 11 years old. He has recently begun lessons to play piano. He is trained in tap, jazz, hip hop, acting, and musical theater.
Ollie - Stephen Culpepper
Stephen is 12 years old and has held many theater roles, short film roles, and was even in feature film. He's trained in piano, jazz, tap, and acting.
Nalani - Nalani Lasmarias
Nalani is 12 years old and this is her debut film role. That doesn't mean she's a stranger to being on stage. She has held roles such as Cinderella. She loves singing and has given many vocal performances!
Returning Characters
This may be a new story in the Raven Heights neighborhood but you'll also see a few familiar faces! Reggie, Willie, and Big Q will be making cameos.

The Team
Writer/Director: Jonathan Kemp
Jonathan Kemp is a writer and director based out of Virginia Beach, VA. He received his bachelor's in Cinema/Television from Regent University and is now pursuing his MFA. He loves writing and telling stories and aims to create more opportunities for black directors and actors in the entertainment industry, He hopes to bring a bigger film presence to his hometown and the surrounding areas of Hampton Roads, VA.
Director of Photography: Samuel Jones
Samuel Jones aka (Sam Wit The Cam) was born and raised in Hampton Virginia. He is a graduate of Virginia State University where he received his Bachelors in Television Production. Sam loves every aspect of film but is very intrigued with being behind the camera as a director of photography and camera operator.
Producer: Evan Carrington
Evan Carrington is a producer based out of Virginia Beach, VA. Originally from Baltimore, MD, Evan moved to Virginia Beach to pursue a Business degree at Regent University. While finishing up his Bachelors, he gained an interest in film and started acting on different student projects and in subsequent years he started writing and producing his own films. Evan is thrilled to be working with Jonathan Kemp and Matthew Walker again as they have collaborated on several projects already, and he feels like "Streetlights" will be the best one yet!
Producer: Matthew Walker
Matthew Elijah Walker was born on May 3, 1997. As he grew up, he always had an interest in movies. In his spare time he would write up short stories he would want to make in the future. It wasn’t until his junior year in high school he that started to pursue film. There was a vocational school for high school students allowing them to find interest in many careers. Matthew chose Introduction to Video. The class grew his love and knowledge for the art, and even gave him the dream of becoming a producer in Hollywood. He's currently attending Regent University to get his Bachelor’s degree in Cinema and Television. Matthew is excited to produce the childhood fantasy Streetlights and to help get this exciting story out there.
Casting Director/Assistant Producer: Karis Thomas
Karis Thomas was born and raised in Bangalore, India. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communicative English and came to the United States to pursue an MFA in Film and Television Directing. She's held many roles on film sets as a Director, Casting Director, AC, Production Design, Wardrobe, Grip, PA and is still not done. She's passionate about culture, diversity, unity and hopes to incorporate them into her films.
