It's Summer 1982:
Reagan’s in the White House, the Russians are building the bomb, and rustic Camp Tigglebitties is a hormonal hotbed where ubernerds Nolan and Dwight vow to lose their virginity to the gorgeous Lacey St. Claire...at the possible expense of their friendship.
Serious questions are raised:
- Can Dwight enlist help from Obi-Wan?
- Who will win the Kotex 500?
- And what IS The Mook?

A World Premiere 80s Teen Sex Comedy Musical?!
Angela Chan and Troy Heard met on the Cirque du Soleil show KA where Chan plays keyboard and Heard makes sure unruly guests don't vomit all over each other.
After several turns one-upping each other in increasingly obscene matches of Words With Friends, they decided to put their talents to better use...musical theatre!
They quickly scrapped the idea of setting "Cyrano de Bergerac" in a Vegas sex shop and went with something much more innocent and charming...a musical homage to the 1980s Teen Sex Comedy.
“I remember staying up late many Saturday nights to watch Porky’s, Meatballs and Revenge of the Nerds on HBO," says Heard. "And like any red-blooded, prepubescent male, I always thought there was way too much story between the shower scenes."
"This is our chance to fix that...while amping the awesomeness by adding musical numbers in different styles of 80s rock and roll.”
“We’ve also jumped on the audience interaction bandwagon with this one,” Heard says. “You'll participate in arts and crafts with Carla Drycock, and play a heated volleyball match with the characters. There’s also a splash zone, of course, but since this is a sex comedy and not a horror spoof like Evil Dead, the show is definitely adults only!”
Joking aside, they dove right in and over the course of eight weeks crafted a full-length musical that is equal parts homage and spoof...but with a big ol' heart. They are premiering the show in at the Onyx Theater in Las Vegas before pursuing submissions into theater festivals.

Why $5000?
In keeping with the indie aesthetic of ancient VHS wonders, they chose to produce this show through Heard's DIY production company, Table 8 Productions. However, they can either do this show on a $5.00 shoestring budget and Facebook promos, or they can do this right!
- SCENERY - $500 The show has a cinematic flow, going to various locations from basements to bunks, campfires to a climactic canoe race on Lake Kotex. It doesn't require a lot of scenery, but will need enough to be eye candy.
-
COSTUMES - $300 Lots of intensive research has gone into recreating early 80s couture, from ring-tees to bikinis.
-
PROPS - $300 Dildos, beach balls and fake canoes don't come cheap. And there’s that really cool helicopter landing effect that ends the first act.
-
SOUND/MUSIC - $500 The original production is going to be tracked, and this is going to cost. They're also getting arrangements taken care of here so they can have live accompaniment for future productions.
- MARKETING - $1300 This is the single biggest expense. So many shows are produced without any thought of soliciting an audience. What's really scary are the shows that go up with nothing more than a Facebook group and status update. With this money they'll be able to produce eye catching graphics for printed collatoral and a killer trailer.
- TECH DESIGNER/OPERATOR- $315 This price point is set by the Onyx, which secures us the talent of Jake Copenhaver, one of the most awesome lighting designers/ops in the Vegas theatre community.
- PRINTING - $80 The programs, ya know?
-
MERCHANDISE - $200 Schwag for additional revenue...spending money to make money: Tee-shirts, CD’s, sexy pics!
Spread the Word...not just your legs...
