Helps us spread the music...
About me:
My name is Abdias Ernesto Garcia and I'm an independent singer/songwriter. (You can listen to my music by clicking HERE).
The Music:
I recently completed my third album titled "Mas Colores Y Menos Horrores" (More Color and Less Horrors) inspired by the stories of people I have met on the path to creating a more colorful and less tragic world. It is a bilingual album that speaks with the languages that everyone can understand; love and music.
The recording process has demanded a tremendous amount of love, time, energy and resources but at last, it is complete and ready to be pressed. I recorded the entire album by myself in my home studio and poured my heart into every single song.
The album is comprised of 10 original songs that reflect my observations on love, culture and the human experience with multi-cultural overtones that permeate the heart of each tune. The thought of sharing these songs with as many people as possible is exhilarating. I truly believe this album can be a great source of inspiration for people and I am hoping we can join forces in taking this project to the next level.
My Family:
In addtion to being an artist, I am also a husband and father of two and this year --and for the first time -- I have been traveling with my wife and two sons in support of the album. My wife Carolina who also performs with me, is an illustratror facepainter and mom extraordonaire. Together we homeschool our two boys and continually expose them to music, art and a great diversity of people. We want them to experience life as a blank canvas ready to painted with love.
Our children, Salvador (8yrs old) and Pablo (4yrs old) are both artists in their own right and we believe that the exposure to music and art has greatly enriched their lives as well as ours. Salvador has recently joined me as well on percussion and the feeling of performing alongside my family has been a dream come true.
The Impact
We realize that most people are hardworking folks just like us and we appreciate every effort made in reaching our goal. We may not be a conventional family but we believe in music and the power it has to inspire, transform and unite people of all ages and backgrounds.
As my family and I embark on this journey, we hope to continue to inspiring others as we live an artful life on the road less traveled.
