Our vision
ReAnimania International Animation Films and Comics Art Festival of Yerevan started in 2009 with a vision to “reanimate” a tradition of animation in Armenia going back over 70 years, and to put Armenia on the world animation map.
Our mission is to create a
platform that enables internationally recognized artists and local talents to collaborate
creatively. We also want to create new business opportunities for local
professionals in our creative community.
The creative industries are massively important in our 21st century globalized economy. At ReAnimania we see
very big potential for Armenia to become a high profile production and outsourcing center for
world-class projects.
We want local talent to stay here, to do great work here, and to grow their studios right here in Armenia!

Our impact in numbers
All through the year we invite world-class animators to Yerevan for workshops and lectures, to share new creative thinking and best practices from around the globe. We organize screenings in different regions of Armenia and we ourselves participate at different international festivals. Here are just a few numbers:
- 25,000+ spectators since 2009
- 450 animation films screened every year
- 200 participants in free master classes every year
- 15 competition and non-competition programs
- 90 industry judges
Why we need you
Just like the impact of our Festival is growing each year, our costs are growing too. And in order to keep this unique global animation event independent and free, we’re looking for your support.
Give to our Festival and you will be giving educational and business opportunities to the Armenian creative talent. Any donation you give goes straight into making our Festival even more exciting and rewarding. ALL contributions are spent on hosting international experts; AND on creating new business opportunities; AND on inspiring more young talent than ever before.
We want to make sure our model is self-sustainable. So with the funds raised, we will invite some of the best industry strategists to build a global market of animation (MARANI), a meet-point for international animators, producers and decision-makers to network and collaborate, buy and sell work, pitch projects and recruit talents. This commercial platform will enable the growth of the Festival in the years to come.
