Switch CAN use Bluetooth earphones with an adapter while playing. However, for most of the time, to hear the voice without cable, you would face problems like:

With Switchblade, you can easily tuck the console into the case and grab it safely with zip on. It integrates the Bluetooth connector into the motherboard to enable invisible yet strong and stable connection---while keeping everything in the box.

Speaking of everything, what does Switch need badly when you use it on the outside?

Ports.

Switch has TV mode when you plug it onto the dock---a pretty huge dock to be honest.

We thought it would be totally unnecessary to bring such enormous dock just to project your games onto the TV.

The original Switch plastic kick-stand is too fragile to endure long-term using, and most people would soon find the broken parts if they are careless for even just once.

Switchblade Hub increased the contact area of the stand, and uses highly bend-resistant material for more than 5x of rigidity, making it one of the strongest stand in the market---while being completely invisible when folded back.

We designed the frame strong enough to hold onto the Switch, while staying away from all the ports and vents from the original design. The back panel's grilled surface also keeps the air flowing even when the accessory is attached on the back.

We called it Switchblade out of two reasons: its function, and its form.

The first drafts were based on the original design of Switch---round, joyful, cohesive.

But the most suitable design costs two major benefits on the other side of equation: size & image.

The rounded shape significantly took more space in our mock-ups, and did not feel good on hand-held mode. It's not a wrong solution, but not good enough.

In the later prototypes we tried a more aggressive, angular design to reduce the size:

The design shaved 40% off the size of hub for the palm, giving a better grip and feeling for the fingers, yet sacrifice 0 function. Besides, it look sharp and cool enough to be remembered.

To make it feel at home with the Switch's color palate, we chose the iconic combination to resemble all the classics games that you are all familiar with:

A special skin-friendly coating was applied on the back for a smooth, clean touch. It also makes the hub easy to clean everytime you quit the game and tuck the console back to shelf/bag.
