Wireless Screen Adapter - Allows wireless docking. Symetium features a 1080P 5.0 inch OLED panel for rich vibrant colors and deep blacks. With the feature always on you can access the dock menu even from an idle state simply by swiping from the top or bottom to reveal the “dock” icon.

Docking Station - Symetium is built as a computer featuring a full desktop when docked or connected to an external monitor using the usb 3.0 type c connection. Once connected the device turns into a keyboard and mouse combination, making it possible to use it as a computer even when you don't have a keyboard or mouse nearby.

Symetium OS Android 6.0 Marshmallow

SymetiumOS is a UI designed with minimalism and elegance in mind. Not only a mobile operating system, by connecting the Symetium device via USB 3.0 type C port to an HDMI screen, you can activate a mouse and keyboard friendly PC mode.

Connecting a mouse lets you control the UI using a cursor. Once connected in PC mode the Symetium device can be used as a mouse or keyboard, eliminating the need for external components if none are available. SymetiumOS has been designed to be used in both landscape and portrait modes.

Unlike stock android, Symetium OS will organize apps and files in individual categories – for example, a gallery of pictures, as well as apps relating to pictures. This was done to keep apps and data clean and organized, and to give the user more control the way a PC operating system does.

This makes the app drawer into a file explorer, merging the mobile experience with the PC experience. There is also a native file explorer accessed by pressing the hard drive icon, the same as for a PC operating system. A switch to revert to stock Android is also planned.

No matter what the big smartphone makers have given us, we here at Symetium have always believed they could do better. We would envision the improvements, so we were never quite satisfied with the latest technology. That was when our leader started looking more closely at his PC. Smartphones are great for on the go, but for big tasks or even some basic stuff, we still turn to our computers. We started asking why we couldn’t have a smartphone that offered all of the power, technology, and efficiency as our computers. This thought is what led us down the long road to creating the Symetium Smartphone PC – a phone and computer all in one small handheld device. This truly is a cutting edge state-of-the-art smartphone!

We’ve set such a high funding goal for a good reason. Between design, certification and manufacture, the costs of building a new phone of this magnitude are huge. But we have our sights set on delivering the ultimate smartphone PC, with zero compromise on functionality, technology, or quality.

Indiegogo campaign related fees include: 5% IGG platform fees, approx 4% payment processing fees and also campaign marketing and PR related expenses.

The challenges and risks that are ahead of us as we finalize the development and delivery of Symetium are related to manufacturing and logistics.

• There may be variations in the colors based on our transition from the prototypes used in the photos and video to the final manufactured product. Some colour options might not be available if demand for the colour is below factory minimum quantities or due to unavailability of material in that colour. 

• There may be changes to the final dimensions or specifications of some of the parts as we optimize the design for mass production. 

• There is the possibility that the delivery of the product to our contributors may be delayed due to unforeseen product changes that require additional development time or addition to the scope of our manufacturing timeline. 

• There is the possibility that the delivery of the product to our contributors may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances in international shipping and logistics. 

Finally, the very nature of Symetium means the exact component list is fluid until we enter production to ensure we’re picking the absolute best available part at the time. If we are forced to change a major feature or component, it will ONLY be because we have come up with something better and more innovative to replace it with. 

If there are any changes to Symetium, we will communicate these changes to our contributors in a timely manner.

Why set such a high funding goal?

Manufacturing Symetium Smartphones is very costly and we do not want to fall short. We decided that to do things properly and to assure our supporters that they will receive their Symetium, a minimum budget is needed of $1.25M

What if you fail to reach the funding goal?

As our  campaign is Fixed Funding, if we do not reach our funding goal all funds will be refunded automatically to all contributors.
