About T’spin

It has happened to all of us at some point: you want a cold beer after a long day travelling, you need to change the SIM in your phone for your new location, your glasses have come loose or you just don’t want to hold your phone while watching your favorite TV show. 

T’Spin is designed to offer a solution to all of these problems (and more!) and with a tool that is both well made, easy to carry and fit for purpose. Simply throw T’spin into your travel bag, hook it onto your keyring or keep it in the glovebox of your car and you know you will always have the perfect answer to those travelling conundrums. 

The T’spin story

As with all great ideas, T’spin was born out of necessity. We saw a need and we decided to fill it. Actually, it was a very typical story of being in a hotel room, buying a few beers from the local shop (its cheaper than the hotel bar!) and realising that you have no way of getting those beers open. It’s frustrating and annoying and most of all you wonder why hotels don’t offer this one simple gadget. Then, what if you need to keep your cables tidy or store your SIM card? Or maybe you just want a gadget that you can use to relieve stress, such as a fidget spinner?

So we got to thinking. What other gadgets do we need to carry with us when we travel and can they all be represented as one tool?  It needed to be compact, easy to use, hardwearing, functional and cool too. We wanted something that would cover all our needs from that cool beer, to SIM storage, phone stand and stress relief. It was a tall order, but T’spin was born.

Design and prototyping

The journey of design always starts with an idea and ends with a functional product. But there are many steps in between and for us, that part of the process is just as exciting as any other. We worked hard to decide on how the T’spin would look, the tools it would need and how they would work as part of the product. Many many drawings, CAD designs and 3D prints were produced before we came to our final design.

It needed to both work and to be beautiful - the cornerstone of minimalist design.

Manufacturing

High quality Titanium is used for the main body of the T’spin which is strong, durable and lightweight, it also naturally resists rusting and corrosion. Precise CNC machining is the only way to achieve the finest detail especially the sim card slots. The cool stain finish of T'spin is done by a post-processing of sand blasting. To produce the tiny SIM ejector pin, acid etching process is used. Then the pin will be attached onto the main body by a silicone decoration dot which is made of premium grade silicone. The T’spin is TSA approved and is designed without sharp edges in order to be fully compliant.

Packaging

We have worked hard to design packaging that is as beautiful as the T’spin itself. We use three layers of EPE foam to give the ultimate protection and the outer sleeve has a minimalist feel. We want the product to have the “wow” factor when presented as a gift.

There are one T'spin, one spare ejector pin and three spare decoration dots (black, yellow and blue) inside this premium gift box set.

Delivery timeline

T’spin will be delivered to the world at January 2019 if the goal of the campaign is reached.

We fully understand that we will encounter some challenges along the way that might hold us back from meeting these goals - but we have worked hard on the design and the testing process to ensure this product works and is ready for production.

The timeline below gives you a good idea of where we are right now. Things might change - but we will always tell you if it does.

Shipping

We will use e-Express service to ship your items, e-Express service offers essential online tracking data of the items. e-Express now covers 33 destinations around the world, it may take 7 to 14 working days for mail items to reach recipients for most destination cities. e-Express Service items destined for overseas destinations are traceable on the websites of their postal administrations within six months from the date of posting.
