No island. No fairies. Just Revenge… and the consequences thereof.
Based on the final solo effort by William Shakespeare, Tempest: Shakespeare’s Deathless Revenge Tragedy, is a re-examination of the classic play, stripping it down to its dark and tragic roots. Prospero, the usurped Duke of Milan, and his daughter, Miranda, were unjustly cast from the homes, to live a life in exile in a dark and abandoned cell. When those who cast him out of Milan cross his path again, Prospero, with his black magic and assistance from his slave, Ariel, enacts a plot of revenge against the men. But when young Miranda falls in love with the son of the king, Prospero’s plans change. Told in the dreamscape world of a young, modern day bard, Tempest: Shakespeare’s Deathless Tragedy is the ultimate journey to forgiveness, and serves as an allegory for what is truly important in life.
