So there we go! Now, not only have we shot the trailer...

We have shot the feature film! 

We financed everything ourselves up to this point!

And now we need your help to finish the movie!

So what needs to happen now? From our home in South Africa we need to finish the film and submit it to film festivals around the world. This all costs moola. 

So why should you support us? 

We're from Cape Town, South Africa. South Africa is not the movie-making mecca of the world: not even close. However, it is full of creative people and the filmmaking industry is growing.  From making other people’s movies like District 9, Safehouse, Dredd, Chronicle, Mad Max 4 and the new TV series Black Sails the local creatives have learnt a lot about filmmaking and now we’re starting to create our own.

It’s near the beginning of the journey and we are so excited to be a part of it. The Actor is our first feature film: entirely created, produced and funded by us. We have our second and third feature film scripts already in the pipeline and we’re ready to create them too.

If you help us take The Actor to the world’s film festivals we can show the world what we can do with very little. From here we can create our next film and with that comes more growth in the South African film industry. This means more jobs, more opportunities for people who don’t fit into the corporate mould and more great stories being told.  We want to be part of building a world here where creative people can actually create their dreams, do what they love and not have to compromise or be undervalued for it. Our filmmaking teams are going to get bigger, better, learn more, teach more and create world-class movies. You can help us get there.

5. FILM FESTIVAL SUBMISSIONS (We want to finish the film ASAP so we can submit the movie to Toronto, Telluride, Sundance, Tribeca, Fantasia, Fright Fest, Fantastic Fest, Sitges, SXSW and others).
