Short Summary

The American Guitar Academy, located in Tokyo, Japan, is the first and only school led by Americans and other EU nations musicians.  We are the only school in Tokyo offering guitar classes in many different languages including Japanese, English, Spanish, French, Italian and German.

Due to our highly succesfull first branch, we are opening up our second branch in the middle of Tokyo's famous and highly popular Roppongi district.

The American Guitar Academy is the only school in Tokyo where all teachers have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Guitar from elite music colleges all over the world.  In addition, many of our instructors also have Masters and Ph.D. degrees.  We pride ourselves in giving the highest quality guitar lessons in Tokyo in all styles to students of all ages and backgrounds. 

We truly believe that music education instruction should be an essential part of everybody's education as well as an inspiring element of life, and we are proud to contribute this to the Japanese society at the highest level.

Furthermore, we are convinced that Japan has an incredibly unique artistic voice in this world which needs to be encouraged,built, supported, and spread worldwide.

Japan has a fascinating and multifaceted culture; on the one hand it is steeped in the deepest of traditions dating back thousands of years, on the other it is a society in a continual state of rapid flux, with continually shifting fads and fashions and technological development that constantly pushes back the boundaries of the possible.

Japan has a extremely interesting and beautiful culture and we are fully commited to build a bridge between it and other cultures.

What We Need & What You Get

Our Goal is to raise a total of $5,000 to buy new small practice amps, practice guitars for the students and a few desks and chairs.  We will also use the money for moving expenses, getting the space ready, like building up walls and purchasing fixtures, painting,etc.
