Hi,
My name is Arón Keyser (aka PrimatePunk) I'm a freelance animator based in Europe who has worked in the animation industry and produced some online cartoons over the years.

I want to fund this 7 minute animated short called Arin or Kogan (AoK for short). It's a cartoon that is mostly a throwback to the kind of cartoons I would watch on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon in the 90's, along with other personal influences. There will also be some big bombastic musical segments.

The premise of this idea began with a conversation between myself and my friend Matt Kogan: what if we made a cartoon based on highly exaggerated aspects of our own personalities? What would we want to do with it? We wrote many different scripts and scenarios, but ultimately this was the furthest in development and it became too hard to throw it away, which leads us to today.
Arin: character model sheet
The cartoon follows Arin and Kogan in their usual antics until they're suddenly thrust into a new situation when a third character enters the plot, adding an entirely new dynamic to the duo. You can consider this as sort of a backdoor pilot for a potential series, if there were any interest down the road

Arin is a very loud, very obnoxious and very British character who goes from 0 to 100 no matter the emotion. He's usually the one to lead the charge when it comes to decision making, even though he doesn't know as much as he thinks he does. He's mostly the reason every single moment in life can become a song number, regardless on whether it's appropriate or not.

Kogan is chill and will say yes to pretty much anything. He's the ultimate wingman and ying to Arin's yang. Although he would rather just relax with a smoke and/or a drink, he'll also very easily go along with Aron's crazy plans and song numbers. He also can beat up your dad.

What I'm asking for is 12000€ (12500 when accounting for indiegogo's fee) to help fund finish the rest of this short. A lot of the heavy lifting such as writing, boarding and most importantly the song numbers have already been produced. So that just leaves us with the bulk of animation production. I've made an estimate pie chart on how I intend to divide the money and already have a handful of artists on standby to help me reach the finish line.
Production schedule wise, I am thinking of a 5-6 month window with bi-weekly updates for backers. I don't expect anything later than a mid- 2023 release.

Whether this ends up being a one and done entry or something I can eventually develop into a full series, I am deeply appreciative of every single person who contributes into making this happen. I will work my ass off to make sure it's the most funny and entertaining cartoon I've made yet. Thank you so much for your time (and potential contribution) and I hope all stay AOK!

Risks & Challenges
Like any crowdfunding campaign, it's always a leap of faith to what you are contributing to. Making a cartoon is never easy and though I can't guarantee there won't be any setbacks, the worst case scenario would be running out of money before the deadline and then I go back to paying out of pocket. This project means too much to me to not see it through to the end.
Other Ways You Can Help if you can't donate
Like I always say, you can share if you care. Posting on your social media or showing the campaign to a friend or family member can potentially be more helpful in the long run. And unlike donating, you can do it multiple times. So get out there and spread awareness! The algorithm ain't gonna do it for me!
