Summary
I'm John Marrs, a Tucson, Arizona based actor and film maker. Having previous careers in the military and law enforcement, I got into the film industry later in life.
All my life I've loved westerns, it saddens me that the genre is no longer popular. I am determined to keep the genre alive for future generations. That's why I'm passionate about making good western films that appeal to audiences young and old.
The Bank Robbery is a short film, (Approx. 15 minutes) about an incompetent gang of outlaws who try to rob a bank. So why a short film?
In this modern age of cell phones and short attention span, it is my hope that the short-film format will get younger viewers to watch it. And, in doing so, start to develop a love of the western genre.
Filming westerns is not cheap. Locations, costumes, horses, props all cost money. Your contribution will make this film possible. Without funding, it will just remain a dream unfulfilled.
What We Need & Where it Goes
I want to raise $1,500 for this film project.
The funds we raise will go directly to the costs of making the film. Location rental, horse rental, costumes, props, feeding the cast & crew, editing, musical score, etc.
If there is any money left over after covering production costs, it will be used to help defray costs of film festival submissions.
If we do not reach our minimum goal, we will assess whether to go forward with the project or return the money raised to contributors.
