Summary

• The Communicator is a student-run magazine at Community High in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  We write stories that matter.   
• Community High is one of the oldest, public alternative high schools in the country.  It provides cutting-edge education in a public setting. 
• The Communicator won over 57 state and national awards this year. 
• The Communicator provides students with an authentic audience to publish their work.  Journalism encourages students to engage in their community by interviewing citizens, covering events and forming supported opinions on issues.  
• By supporting our organization, you are allowing our students to continue writing about topics they are passionate about and publish their work in print and online. 

What We Need & What You Get

• We need $5000 to fund the printing of our magazine, resources for our website and equipment for reporting. 
• With a $100 donation we will list you as a supporter in our publications.
