The Cubenizer detonator is an internet-connected game and candy printer. Designed to be operated by kids as young as six years old, it lets you mix all the flavors you can think of and turn imagination into tasty candy cubes.

SO WHAT IS THE GAME ALL ABOUT?

It is not as easy at it sounds! Let us have a look.

Everything you create in the Cubenizer game builds up and expands your candy empire. You decide what kind of candy empire you want. Get creative with your Candynavia and become candy king!

You gather candy flavors and cubes and turn them into Cubenizer candy recipes. In the Factory Lab you can create the candy you want by using different flavors and cube combinations.

You can order your candy creations via the app and they’ll be delivered from Candynavia to your home where you can share them with your family and friends. You will be able to create and share recipes, name your candy, discover new flavors and cubes, and perfect your online factory.

You are only limited by your imagination. Every time you print a cube or other cubenizer users visit your kingdom you earn in-game points and get the opportunity to expand your candy empire.

You can challenge your friends’ creativity and find out who has the best-tasting cubes. Unlock hidden features and VIP levels as you learn the trade of candy-making and team up with your friends to unleash the true power of co-creation. You can collect and combine sticks and cubes with your friends and try new stuff. The users can see how they are performing in the game. Ratings depend on progress in the game and the feedback from your friends.

In the online candy shop you will be able to order the flavors, cubes, and all the candy you want.

Here you will be able to get an overview of your or your child’s progress to becoming candy king. You can manage orders, subscriptions, and shipments.

You will see things like:

• All the candy creations you’ve made
• Your purchases
• Your candy account balance
• New and favorite flavors
• Your performance on your way to becoming candy king

Delicious and personal: This is your world. Combine any flavor and texture you can dream up: sour, sweet, salty, soft, gummy, crunchy, and more. It’s all up to you.

It is candy by design!

Fun and versatile: The manufacturing process is great fun in itself. Operate your own candy-making machinery. Create all of the elements for new candy flavors. Play one of the Cubenizer games or make last minute changes and randomly combine sticks and cubes – the detonator will let you know what you have combined, and what other Cubenizer users have named their creations. All your activities are documented in your Cubenizer profile. You can always log on to see what you need to resupply to try it again or adjust the process.

The flavor sticks

The flavor sticks are small plastic cylinders that contain different flavor gels.

Cubenizer will continuously develop new flavor sticks with fun names that make great combinations: peanutty old school apple pie, very berry black licorice, sourpuss citrus, cool cotton candy, and more.

New flavors are based on end-user feedback – the users playing the game decide what flavors we should include.

The cubes

The cubes are hollow containers that contain the flavor gel. The cubes differ in taste and consistency: It can be smooth dark chocolate, milk chocolate with nutty frosting, sweet dark licorice, colorful candy, and even chewing gum. There is no limit and new cubes will be launched continuously. The cubes are split into four pieces that each can be consumed in one mouthful.

The coolest thing ever!

The detonator will detect what you are manufacturing – and if you are creative and challenge yourself and your friends the game automatically changes and you will get new options that will help you succeed in the game. The Detonator is always online and you will get help to succeed – sometimes you will need to create candy together with your friends and use their creations to remain candy king of Candynavia.

Bringing Cubenizer online

To detect and identify the Cubenizer Cubes and Flavor sticks, we use a small RFID reader that securely connects the detonator with the online platform.

Preliminary studies have shown that RFID/NFC ISO14443/A and Wi-Fi are uniquely suited technologies for the Cubenizer.

Impressive machinery

The detonator is a 20X20 cm “box” that produces high-quality candy and chocolate.

The detonator has 3 components: 1) A piston that is used to empty the flavor sticks. A 6-year old will have sufficient strength to provide the necessary pressure to operate the Cubenizer. 2) The flavor chamber where the flavor sticks are loaded. 3) The cube chamber where the cubes are loaded. Each cube element is a piece of candy filled with the flavor.

• It is a 100% closed system that guarantees a safe and hygienic product.
• The packaging can be recycled.
• Produced cubes can be rewrapped

The platform used

The Unity development platform is the foundation for the technical work. The engine allows us to target and optimize for multiple platforms without having to rebuild our content. Furthermore we develop using a modern, flexible language in the form of C#.
