Our Story

For the past two years, we've been working hard to create this labor of love. "The Demon's Rook" is the product of several people who are genuinely passionate about horror and fantasy films and the universes they allow us to escape into, coming together to create a piece of motion picture art that looks to pay homage to the classics that came before it while also exploring the genre's more colorful and largely untapped possibilities. The film is an amalgamation of everything that makes the fantasy and horror film genres so wonderful. Nostalgic yet progressive, The Demon's Rook embodies the spirit of the cult horror classics that precede it, yet still holds its own ground as a truly original vision. With filming wrapped, we have finally moved into post-production, and now is your chance to join us in releasing our vision into the world.

The Impact

With this project, we are creating something that horror and fantasy fans have been yearning for: an ambitious, uniquely identifiable film with classically powerful practical special effects, deep roots in the historical spirit of the genres it encompasses, and a bold, forward-thinking vision. We believe with all of our hearts that "The Demon's Rook" has the potential to be something that will instantly join the pantheon of horror and fantasy film classics and stand as a worthy representation of the possibilities of independent cinema.

What We Need & What You Get

We are currently in need of post-production financing. The money you contribute to our project will go towards press kits, posters, screeners, film festival expenses, and advertising materials. The film festival circuit alone is a very pricey endeavor with submission fees and gas prices where they are.
