Our Story
We are best selling author, Gary R. Renard and award winning producer, Elysia Skye. We have teamed up to create the TV show based Gary's best selling book series "The Disappearance of the Universe". We have created this fundraising site to raise enough money to shoot a teaser/trailer for the series. We'll be using this teaser as part of our pitch package when meeting with cable, networks, and licensing companies to expand the series.
About the show
Journey to the past and future to reveal to the masses the shocking truth about past lives, religion, sex, death, relationships, and a radical kind of forgiveness that will help save an entire world in jeopardy. Part comedy, part historical drama, and part reincarnation mystery, The Disappearance of the Universe (D.U.) is the edgy, episodic story of Gary, a former successful guitar player and now struggling day trader who retreats to the Maine countryside in despair over a recent bankruptcy and pending lawsuit, only to find that once he arrives two mysterious strangers appear in his living room to give him an assignment.

We have a team of talented LA based cast and crew, but we will require funds to pay everyone involved (which we want to do, they're
not insisting on it), and create a phenomenal website, campaign and
pitch package. In this tough economy, we are proud to be paying our cast and crew, and the website will allow us to reach global contacts. We already have an international audience waiting for this show. Finally, there will be a tv show with a positive and powerful message through and through. Now is the time, with breakthrough shows such as TOUCH and AWAKE. THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE UNIVERSE will be the trailblazer into an untapped spiritual narrative genre.
What We Need & What You Get
We are raising $10,000 to shoot a 2.5 minute teaser trailer with scenes from the pilot. We will also be cutting a 1 minute version for easier online access to our show. Studios pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to cut a trailer. We are able to create a high quality product on a low budget because of our exceptional production staff that has agreed to work at a lower rate to get the message out about the show. Many have volunteered, but we want to pay as many cast and crew members as possible. Time and money are energy, and we want to honor this exchange and their talents. Additionally, we are going to build a website to showcase the trailer and pitch materials. Each pitch package will cost between $25-$50 including international postage.
