Meet Alayna. She's one of the millions of reasons we're doing this.
Born at only a pound and a half, she spent 88 days in the ICU with machines keeping her alive.
![]()
Now she’s thriving but has limb differences affecting all 4 limbs.
![]()
Like other parents of kids with limb differences, her mother wants Alayna to always feel special and to reach her full potential. When she found out about our dolls she wrote me, “Alayna is our miracle, and nothing stops her! She just turned 4 and would LOVE one of your dolls made to be just like her!”
Thankfully our original IndieGoGo campaign funded and out of those funds we’ll be making a doll just like Alayna as a gift to her from The Doll For All community. Hooray!
Alayna needs and deserves to have a doll that looks like her. So do other kids with limb differences. With your help we can make that happen. Back our project and for every $10 we raise, $1 will go towards making a doll especially for another child like Alayna.
Do you know a limb different child you’d like to recommend to us, to get a gift from The Doll For All community? Tell us their story in the Discussion section. We’d love to hear from you!
There’s so much more to be done!
Once we’re in full production, making customized dolls for kids with limb differences, we’ll expand to other disabilities as well. Imagine, dolls that can be customized for WHATEVER disability a child may have! Think of how that will make those kids feel: loved, accepted, included.

“Celebrating uniqueness builds awareness, increases self esteem and reduces stigma. Representation matters.”
That’s exactly what we’re doing: celebrating uniqueness through what kids do best ~ PLAY!
Meet Evie & Max!
No other 18" dolls have the unique qualities of our prototypes: Evie and Max. Not only can they be customized for limb different children, but they also have 35 joints so they move much more like a real kid does, making them more fun to play with for kids with and without disabilities. They can actually hold the thousands of accessories made for 18” dolls!

Made in the U.S.A.
Our team has developed countless prototypes using innovative ways to not only create these extraordinary dolls, but to figure out how to have them Made in the U.S.A. And we’ve done it! Unlike ALL other 18” dolls, ours will be Made in America. That means a lot to us.

How This Project Started
![]()
You might be curious as to how this all got started. It began with the idea of a young woman named Aysha Jayne who had special healthcare needs when she was a child. She spent lots of time in hospitals where she met kids with different health challenges. She realized these kids didn’t have a doll that looked like them and she dreamed of making a doll that could be altered for whatever medial need a child may have.
Aysha and her mom, Julie, looked for someone to take on this project and eventually found me

(I’m Marsha, a businesswoman who used to be a nurse!) and a designer/inventor named Rick, who had been developing a multi-articulated 18” doll that moves very much like a kid. The reason this was a good fit is that at most points of articulation the dolls can be customized for limb-different children.
Wonderfully Made
![]()
Our dolls are fabricated with premium grade resin using the latest state-of-the-art techniques devised by former Disney Imagineer, Nick, working side-by-side with our inventor Rick. Our dolls are as wonderfully made as the children they represent and individually assembled to look so much like the child that will cherish them.

Back our project and you’ll be part of the revolutionary new The Doll For All movement to create dolls that reflect a child’s special circumstances. You’ll help us get Evie and Max into their forever homes, with the kids who really need them. And besides that ~ they’re so much fun!
Where we are in Development and Funding
Since we’ve been developing The Doll for All for over 5 years, we’ve eliminated the paths that either didn’t work or didn’t work well enough. In our quest to have our dolls Made in the U.S.A. we have devised processes that incorporate old methods, such as casting, with state-of-the-art processes such as 3D printing from CAD files. Each doll will be fabricated with premium-grade resin, hand-crafted and individually assembled for each child, and be produced right here in Chattanooga, TN.
The initial IndieGoGo funding goal we reached allowed us to purchase two high res state-of-the-art 3D printers, materials to test new vinyl-like resin, and final design elements of prosthetic legs and lucky fins. The production goal is now to raise enough funds to produce molds that can be used to cast the dolls out of vinyl and with more of an assembly-line so we can make more than one doll at a time ~ to bless more kids! Our InDemand goal is $130,000 to get to the mold and vinyl stage of manufacturing.

RISKS & CHALLENGES:
Although there’s always a risk with crowdfunding, we have gone to great lengths to minimize those risks by handling production of the doll parts locally and personally supervising the assembly in-house. The clothes are being made by professional seamstresses here in the U.S. we have contracted before. Every detail has been checked and double-checked.
The only parts we cannot obtain here in the states are the doll wigs and eyes. They simply are not made here. However, we have two excellent wig sources in Thailand and China that have proven to be reliable and with high quality. Our supplier of doll eyes is here in the states, but she does receive her product from overseas. Since she’s been in business for many years, she has a deep understanding of her suppliers.
Challenges? This is a very complex product with many moving parts. The biggest challenge is to get every detail of these beautiful dolls as perfect as possible so that children squeal with delight when they open their package!
Unlike mass produced products where all Perks are shipped at about the same time, our dolls are individually assembled, so we’ll begin shipping as each doll is completed. We estimate we will complete shipping of all dolls in about 10 months after the Indiegogo Campaign was finished, which is October 2024. We're giving ourselves plenty of time to make sure no one is disappointed with a delay. We very much believe and hope it will be sooner, but we’ll keep you informed every step of the way as we’re making progress.
Our Guarantee
Once you receive your doll, if for any reason you aren't happy with this Perk, notify us within 30 days of receiving it and we will fix or replace the doll at no expense to you. If you prefer a refund, once we receive the doll in the condition it was shipped, we will refund your Pledge.
Thanks for your support!
I can't tell you how much it means for you to support us in any way you can. To know people believe in what we're doing means the world to us. Thanks in advance! And, please, pass the word around!
