Who am I?
My name is Ke Cheng and I am a Business design and arts leadership (BDAL) student that living in the lovely Savannah, Georgia. I will graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in spring quarter, 2017. This exhibition will be counted as my M.A. final project. Before that, I have gained many experiences and helped hold a lot of events and educational programs for Nanjing Museum in China. However, this exhibition is the first project that I as an independent curator.
About the Exhibition
“The Dreamer” Art Oil Painting Exhibition is a free event for all publics from May 12 to May 14 at Sulfur Studios, 2301 Bull Street in Savannah, Georgia. The Open Reception is May 12 from 5 p.m. to p.m.
“The Dream” Art Oil Painting Exhibition will be held by Ke Cheng who is a Business Design and Arts Leadership student from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). This exhibition invited two SCAD Graduate Oil Painting students, Jia Deng and Wanyun Zhang, to use their beautiful artworks bring audience a great art feast. Since the topic of the exhibition is “The Dreamer,” most of the artworks are showing the relationship between human and environment.
What we need？
In order to secure the exhibition be held successfully, we need to raise about $1,200 by May 12, 2017.
The money will be used for this project as follows:
Gallery Rental Fee: $500
Marketing materials: The total marketing materials budget (including 400 postcard printing, 50 poster printing, and Button Badges printing) are $265.
Installation fee: the total installation fee (including installation materials, promoting board printing and frame painting fee, abstract card for each painting) are about $145.
Food and Drinks: $230
Other expenses: $60
