Short Summary

I’m Tom Anastasi and I am very proud to be Producer/Director/and Screenwriter of “The Dress.”  This will be a short film that will hopefully motivate victims of domestic violence to take action to protect themselves.  I’m the owner/manager of Pack of Dogs Productions, LLC and also the Producer/Screenwriter for the feature film Spin the Plate which is in its final stages of post-production.

I am honored that Rajah Samaroo, the Director of Photography for Spin the Plate,  has agreed to be the Cinematographer for this project.  Raj is an elite talent, and we are thrilled that he can be part of the project.

We are also very lucky that Eric R. Eastman, who has over 20 years experience in the film industry and is also Director and Associate Producer of Spin the Plate will serve as the Executive Producer for The Dress.

Finally we couldn't be more fortunate to have two very talented actors, Taylor Frizzell and JP Valenti, playing our leading characters.

Domestic violence is a huge societal problem and victims often feel trapped or helpless to take the actions they need to do to keep themselves safe.  It is my hope that many viewers will find inspiration in the leading character (Daria’s) story and take the first steps to improving their lives.

The movie will be shown at film festivals and I would also like to partner with domestic violence support centers to show the film at their events.

By supporting this project I know that you will help victims find their voices.

What We Need & What You Get

Equipment rental and usage.  Movies need to look and sound as good as anything we would see at a Cineplex.  We plan to use first-rate equipment.

Post Production Expenses (including music, sound engineering)

Cast and crew meals for shooting days.

Film-festival submissions.

We have some fun perks for every budget.  Check them out!

Risks & Challenges

The biggest challenge will be weather for our outdoor shots.  We need to shoot the project in one day so rain would be an issue.  We'll have back-up plans in store.
