My name is Harrie Dobby & I am a London-based
writer & actor. I am absolutely thrilled that my first full-length play,
The Gap, will receive its WORLD
PREMIERE at The International
New York Fringe Festival 2015! The Gap originated at a 20-minute short at
the Lyric Hammersmith in London last summer, but this is the first time it will
play as a full-length play.
This is an incredible opportunity for myself &
the rest of the cast to get our work seen on an International platform,
especially as we are one of only two companies coming to New York from London!

Info About The Gap
Meet Lisa, a small town girl from the USA with BIG
dreams. She applies for her passport, gets on a plane, and flies to Asia. One
week in to the trip of a lifetime, Lisa meets Dave, Mr Charisma from
London.
The Gap follows Lisa and Dave through the next
eighteen months of their lives. They dream of travelling the world together
forever, but when Lisa becomes pregnant, this dream begins to unravel. Is
it really possible to just strap a baby to your back and keep on going, or will
"real world” responsibilities eventually catch up with them?
Joined by two Irish hippies, Lisa’s bible-bashing
mom, Dave’s sex-mad best mate and her less-than-PC husband, “The Gap” is a one
act comedy, looking at what you have to sacrifice in order to be
happy.
It's all go, it's definitely happening, but we
need your help to get us there.

This is a self-funded project and we are doing all we can
to raise the funds. It obviously isn't cheap to get six actors and a techie over to New York
for two weeks in August. We are looking to raise a MINIMUM of £2000 to go towards the cost of flights, accommodation &
food (actors need to eat!). £2000 won't cover everything we need to do this
(flights alone are over £3000) but it will certainly get us along the way. If
we can raise over £2000 with this campaign, happy days! Together with some
London-based fundraising events, we're sure we can get there!
