The Homeschool Classroom Playground

Hi! I'm Rebecca Cohen, Head Teacher at The Homeschool Classroom in Santa Fe, a small school for children ages 5-14.  We have been serving Homeschool Families in Santa Fe for the past 10 years.  It is a scientific fact that kids learn easier, faster and retain more information, IF they have physical activity during the learning day.  The Homeschool Classroom has a large field for a play area, however it is filled with gravel, goatheads (sharp and dangerous plants) and holes in the ground.  we are in GREAT NEED of a SAFE running space for our kids.  With Covid-19 inspiring many more families to Homeschool their children, our services are greater demand.  We have a great big outdoor tent for moving the lessons outside, however our running space needs improvement.

We need a SAFER RUNNING SPACE FOR KIDS! 

THIS ENTAILS:

• $6000 for artificial grass (No fancy playground equipment needed, just a safe, flat ground for running) 
• $3000 to pay for installation

Kids NEED to run in order to LEARN! 

This is a fact.  Kids who have had their PE classes taken away in regular Elementary Education classrooms, tested poorly and were unable to retain information presented throughout the day.

• With gravel, goatheads and glitches in the ground, kids have fallen and been injured.  The last injury resulted in three stitches on a child's LIP!  
• What do kids' LOVE about coming to learn at The Homeschool Classroom???? PLAYTIME! Let's help make their playtime SAFE!
