We're thrilled to announce our campaign to raise funds for the I Never Trilogy. As our shoot for the third and final film in our series, I Never Did, approaches, we need all the help we can get!
Who Are We?
We're a group of current and past students from Southern Oregon University who came together to make a series of short paranormal thrillers loosely based on the works of Lafcadio Hearn!

Mig Windows (
Writer/Co-Director, Actor - Jenny) graduated this year with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. She has appeared in several films in the Ashland area, including
Redwood Highway, Necrotic, Beach Blanket Frankenstein and
Vampire Camp. Her last short film,
Not A Bench, was successfully funded on Indiegogo two years ago, and has been screened on RVTV and at the Varsity Theatre in Ashland. This is not her first time adapting old tales - she also wrote and directed a radio series called
The White Knight Diaries, a modern and gritty retelling of European fairytales.

Since then, he and his wife, Angelica, started a production company called AR Owens Productions, based in Talent, Oregon, and are some of the top wedding videographers in the Rogue Valley.
Angelica Owens (

Actor - Sean) is also studying for his BFA in Theatre performance at SOU, where he has appeared as the Old Shepherd in

Aleah Zimmer (Actor - Kim) is studying for her BFA in Theatre Performance as well. At SOU, she has appeared as Hermione in The Winter's Tale, Miss Neville in She Stoops to Conquer, Vera Dundee in The Metal Children and Roberta in The Mint Juleps Trilogy.
Cast also includes Kalindi Garcia, Robyn Reck Duquesne Fichter, Cameron Gray, Alex Magni, Lakia Solomon, Taylor Hood, Galen Molk & Kyle Sanderson. I'd tell you who they're playing... but I don't want to give too much away!
Is This a School Project?
Nope! We're making this project purely because we enjoy filmmaking and want to bring these stories to life. All of us have grown as storytellers through the process of making these films. We just love doing it and want to bring the series the climactic finale that it deserves!
Where Will Your Funds Go?
Because the third shoot is going to be so ambitious, we have a LOT of production costs, including:
- Prop swords for some of our actors to fight with. Durable but unsharpened so these guys can gloriously swing blades at each other without breaking anything!
- Costumes & Makeup! Get ready for some cool new looks and a lot of blood!
- LIGHTS! If we meet our goal, AR Owens Productions will have their very own lights for photoshoots and future video projects.
- Craft services! So the cast and crew can eat while we're out in the woods!
- Film festival entries!
- Shipping your awesome perks and paying indieGoGo for their generous hosting of our campaign, of course!
When Will You Finish?
By the end of summer! Expect to see
I Never Will released in the next few months, and
I Never Did by this coming Fall or Winter. In the meantime, you can check out "I Never Can," the first installment, here:

Why Should You Care?
This project has provided many opportunities for the cast and crew to further their careers in acting, filmmaking, and scriptwriting, and adapting. Each film gets better than the one before.
Plus, as Lafcadio Hearn worked to bring these haunting stories to a Western audience, we're working to bring them to a Western audience in the Modern day, while adding and highlighting themes of infidelity, suicide, and drug addiction.
