About the Film
Danny struggles to prove that he is just as capable of being a man to those around him. His bestfriend Chris is a tough guy who always has a cigarette in his mouth and carries brass knuckles around waiting for a fight; his single father Ramon grew up in a broken home and has worked his entire life to support Danny; and the teens in his neighborhood are always looking for trouble.
After another failed attempt at bonding with his single father Ramon, Danny goes out for a walk and is attacked for his red and black jacket by Blood members from the neighborhood, named Ty and Jamal. They beat him senselessly, remove the jacket from his body, and then leave it behind, showing Danny that they really did it for the thrill. Disappointed with Danny's defeat, Ramon overreacts and pushes Danny to seek retribution. The pressure gets to him, and after receiving brass knuckles from Chris, Danny hunts down Ty for a rematch.
The film is inspired by a true story. It takes place in East Harlem and will be shot on location.

The Impact
We are trying to tell an engaging story that people will remember, while still raising awareness about issues that young people deal with on a daily basis. The visual portrayal of gang violence, bullying, and domestic abuse should get people to take action and assist families in these situations. Hopefully less people will reach the boiling point Danny reaches.
