Sam is a six-year-old orphan with a pet ferret named Booger. Sam is as cute as a button, but he just can’t seem to find a family who wants him. When the newest prospective parents come to visit, Sam decides to impress them with a few magic tricks. He becomes “The Great Sambini” with Booger as his assistant. When his most amazing trick flops, Sam is deflated but not defeated, and with Booger’s help he conjures up a different kind of magic.

Jacob Tremblay stars as "Sam" in The Magic Ferret. At just 6 years old, Jacob already has an impressive resume. He plays the son of Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays in Sony Pictures' "The Smurfs 2", coming to theatres this July! He has also recently had guest appearances on ABC's "MOTIVE" and Disney's "Mr. Young"!

Fred Ewanuick stars as "Mr. Parker" in The Magic Ferret. Fred starred as Dan in the Gemini Award nominated, CTV original series, Dan for Mayor. Prior to Dan For Mayor, Ewanuick was known to television audiences as Hank Yarbo, for a six season run, on the CTV hit series Corner Gas. Corner Gas was nominated for an International Emmy Award for Best Comedy Show and won a Gemini Award for Best Ensemble Cast in 2007. Ewanuick's other series credits include the CTV comedy/drama series Robson Arms for three seasons, and guest starring roles in Da Vinci's Inquest and Dark Angel. Ewanuick has many other credits to his name, including a supporting role in Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds, the Miramax family film Chestnut, the lead in indie feature The Delicate Art of Parking, and many, many more.

Lisa Durupt stars as "Mrs. Parker" in The Magic Ferret. Lisa is best known as Shandra in HBO Canada's sitcom "Less Than Kind", winner of several Geminis, Canadian Comedy Awards and more! Lisa was nominated for a Leo award for Best Performance in a Music, Comedy, or Variety Program or Series in 2013 for her role on Less Than Kind. Lisa is also known for her roles in such TV Movies such as "Hitched for the Holidays", "Last Chance Casting", and "The Pastor's Wife".

Beverley Elliott stars as "Mrs. Rassenti" in The Magic Ferret. Beverley is currently best known as the badass Granny in ABC's Emmy Award Winning Show "Once Upon a Time"! Beverley was born in Listowel, Ontario and moved to Vancouver when she was in her early 20's. On the west coast she was able to combine her two careers, acting and singing. She starred in the Canadian series "Harper's Island" and was a regular on "Bordertown" and "Mysterious Ways".

Falcor the Ferret stars as "Booger" in The Magic Ferret. Falcor is the most famous ferret actor in the world. After a successful career in commercials, Falcor landed the role of Jasper in the award-winning short film "Jake & Jasper: A Ferret Tale" in 2011. Falcor also stars as "Digger" in the upcoming feature film "The Ferret Squad". He loves treats and hates baths. Falcor's human is director Alison Parker.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T REACH YOUR GOAL? DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY? WHEN DO I GET CHARGED?
Since I chose to go with the 'all-or-nothing' option this time, if we don't reach our goal of $10,000, we get nothing, and all contributions will be returned to the funders. We can only make this film if we reach our goal of $10,000. (UPDATE: WE MADE IT!!!)
WHERE CAN I SEE THIS MOVIE? I NEED IT NOW!!
Hold your ferrets! Donate today and when the film is finished, we can send you a digital download so you can be the first to see it! We'll also be selling DVD's and submitting to film festivals around the world.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PERKS LIKE THE PAWTOGRAPHED DVD?
Once the film is completed we will mail out all the perks that require shipping, probably sometime this fall. The digital download of the film will be sent as soon as the film is completed. The thank you videos from Jacob will be released gradually, basically as quickly as we can get them made.
IS IT TRUE THAT ALISON PARKER IS FALCOR THE FERRET'S OWNER?
It is! Although Falcor would say that I am his hooman. I actually own two ferrets, the other one is named Frisco and he looks almost identical to Falcor (yet completely different, if you ask me!).
WHY DON'T PEOPLE LIKE FERRETS? I DON'T GET IT!
Me neither! Just kidding. It's the way they are misrepresented in the media. This is why I make ferret movies, really. To show how great they really are! They make wonderful pets and it's a shame they are so misunderstood, especially when that can lead to some ferrets being harmed, abandoned or abused.
HAVE YOU HEARD OF KICKSTARTER? MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY THAT.
Kickstarter is the exact same thing as IndieGoGo, but only available to residents of the UK and USA. I'm in Canada, so it's not an option, but IndieGoGo has been very good to me so I'm just fine with that. Thanks for the suggestion though!
