The Magician Longs to See Tarot is a complete 78-card deck with 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana in full color. The deck combines inspiration from the mystical world of Twin Peaks and the visual iconography of Pamela Colman Smith's infamous tarot illustrations. The Major Arcana draw their source from some of the primary movers and shakers in Twin Peaks, while the Minor Arcana tend towards depicting infamous scenes and moments in the series. My goal is to strike a delicate balance between accurately representing the respective characters while still maintaining readability as a deck.

Why an Indiegogo Campaign?
While the MLtST began as a passion project, by the time it was completed, it had become something of a cult internet hit. After a great deal of emails, being featured on a number of rad sites, and Facebook friend requests from fellow Twin Peaks/Tarot fans (I'm looking at you, Charles), I knew full-deck production was a must. Below is a list of sites that helped get the word out about the deck:

So, the audience is there, but production funds are not.
Printing and distributing what will (hopefully) be a couple hundred decks is not particularly cheap. This Indiegogo campaign acts as a means to secure funding for production and distribution. The current goal is set at $5,000, which allows a quality deck to come to you at a reasonable price.
However, if the $5,000 is not raised, do not fear: I will still be sending out the decks to all those who ordered.

TAROT DECK - As previously stated, the MLtST is a complete 78-card deck with 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana in full color. The cards measure 2.75 x 4.75 inches and will be printed on 310 gsm linen card stock. If you select the $20 perk, the cards will come shrink-wrapped in plastic.
TUCK BOX - At the $30 and $50 levels, the cards will come in a custom-designed cardboard tuck box with aqueous (matte) coating. The photo at the top of the page depicts the prototype of the box. The final product will have slight differences in color/design.
BOOKLET - A multi-page booklet that features a brief essay by John Thorne on the intersection of the mystical and occult in the world of Twin Peaks! There will also be pages detailing symbols and iconography specific to this deck.
CREATOR CARDS - These will be two cards EXCLUSIVE to this Indiegogo campaign that are only available at the $50 perk level! They will depict series creators Mark Frost and David Lynch as new Major Arcana cards assuming the monikers of The Writer and The Director. Final card art will be revealed in the first week of the campaign.
SKETCH CARD - An original marker sketch drawn on a blank tarot card. The content will be random but something most assuredly Twin Peaks related! This is my way of saying thank you to those supporting the campaign at a high level.
Might There Be Some Risks?
- The illustrations for these cards are finished and ready to head to the printers upon completion of this campaign. Artwise, there is no risk of delay. However, there is the chance that this campaign may reach a much larger group of donors than expected. While that would be most excellent, this could result in some production/shipping delays simply due to increased volume.
- Over the years, the Twin Peaks fan community has had little to no negative response from the selling of goods/products inspired by Twin Peaks. That being said, there is always the possibility that during the campaign I may be asked to take it down by the powers that be (Lynch/Frost Productions, Showtime, CBS, etc).
