During her trial, Joan stated that it was St. Michael the Archangel who guided her in battle and helped her every step of the way. No one believed her. She was sentenced to a gruesome death for heresy and witchcraft.
But what if she did receive celestial guidance in an extraordinary way?
This new comic book series, THE MISSION OF JOAN OF ARC, tells the story of St. Joan of Arc from her perspective.
With this comic book, we seek to bring Joan’s visions to life, imagining what she might have seen.
For added inspiration, we’ll also reference an original script by French Carmelite nun, St. Therese of Lisieux. She wrote the play during the “Year of Joan of Arc” in 1894.
Therese took Joan at her word and featured St. Michael the Archangel as a principal character in her play.
